It's also a dream of mine that all these rich foreign owners will go play somewhere else. It's not going to happen, though. It makes it very hard for "smaller" clubs (or clubs with less financial clout) to compete in the transfer market when clubs like City can throw around £100+k per week contracts like confetti. :(

Yes. A WINGER from a DEBT-RIDDEN club who need a quick sale to keep going? Shit and pointless comparision.

I think you missed the point. There's value in the transfer market if you look for it and know what you're doing. And then there's paying over the odds for a British player.

This has to be because of the World Cup. Not playing in the World Cup no, getting screwed out of hosting it. Fifa said "Look Russia are paying more than you so the World Cup is going there. But if you keep your head down and dont piss us off we will find a way to make you world number 1 for a month or two okay?"

We aren't even top 10, our passing and retention of the ball is league one class at times.

PSG decided to lay £38m on the table, nuff said.

PSG are going to absolutely clear up in Ligue 1 and probably end up getting dicked on in Europe :p

And then you're left with the Champions League qualifying clubs earning a fortune more than everyone else, having bigger squads, better players and finishing in a permutation of the same top four every season. At least City came in and shook up the established order and, dare I say it, with considerably more flair than the Mourinho era Chelsea managed.

Villa have spent nearly as much as Chelsea in recent years. Villa are the 4th highest Net spenders in the premiership over the last 5 seasons... Take Newcastle though, decent season last season yet they spent the least (Net) of any premiership side.

http://transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.html

roll it back to 10 years

http://transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-2003-to-date.html

Villa have only spent 10 million a year less than UTD.

Look at the silverware

Look at the spending

Now look at the silverware

Marvellous

That said, I agree.

2012 was a fucking pisspoor upgrade and I have no doubt 2013 will be nothing more then a database update.

Wazz, sort your shit out, SI haven't done fuck all different in the past two versions.. mainly because there is no fucking competition.

Bollocks. I remember games when Chelsea where down a goal and Jose ended up with 4-5 strikers on going for a goal. Mancini was a goal down and he put a defensive midfielder on. Joses own flair outweighs everything Mancini did.
