It was his feet, where Bale kicked the floor it went forward in a superman style dive. And Larsons legs were not close. I think the ref gave it because he though Bale just threw his foot up and took a dive rather than he kicked the floor.

He is meant to have agreed to stay this year on the agreement that Spuds will not stand in his way if they failed to get CL football. If that is true is now just a case of someone putting in the right offer. And if it is true that Ronaldo will follow Jose then I see Bale going to Madrid.

Take away Bales Individual efforts in the last 10 minutes and spuds would have drawn about 3 of the last 6 and been much further off the pace. Over the season I do not know how many points his individual efforts got them but he will not be easily replaced.

He was a key man for how they played - I havent looked at the stats but I think we actually scored more in a season with Modric.

Bale has had a great season partly because they shaped a side around him - I don't think he would do as well elsewhere tbh.

If he left as long as we bought in some quality we would be fine.

Edit: 66 goals in this and last season in the Premiership - almost identical performances pointswise and one table position difference.

It's always funny when people say things like that, take RVP away from UTD etc etc.

No team is a one man team, they wouldn't get very far if they were. Spurs play very well with Bale but they also have a pretty decent squad.

They said it about the arse without RVP last year - what people forget is that there's always going to be someone in that position who will score goals - if anyone has a great year its almost invariably because they got good service from the rest of the team.
