I can confirm, I live in Stafford, and before Stoke got into the Prem most of their "fans" were either United, Liverpool, or didn't follow football at all. If there is any justice in the world they will get relegated for the next few seasons and end up playing local derbies with Stafford Rangers.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't their 'laws' only require them to not drink it (or get drunk, whatever it is)?
While I personally dislike Stoke (my ex-wife is from Leek so we used to visit the area quite a lot), and can't stand the current Stoke City setup, its a bit unfair to say Stoke City were always poorly attended and supported. The Victoria Ground was one of those places I ended up going to a lot as a kid for United away games (Goodison would be another, but never Anfield - too dangerous), and the fans were no better or worse than anyone else, and it had a kind of run-down charm. It was the first place (of three) that I got run over by a police horse though.
it has your scent! You've been run over by a police horse three times? Fuck.

If it stays 1-1 at Chelsea and Arsenal win 1-0 do we get the playoff game?
Like it or not getting CL football is like winning a trophy.I'm cringing so hard right now at Arsenal, dancing about, celebrating like they've won a trophy.
Not only for us. It was the only thing Spuds were playing for too. And if you had finished above Arsenal and got 4th you would of had a fucking parade about it. But now you are 5th your fans will act above it all for another yearFor Arsenal it is. You don't have many more seasons of reliable 4th places left in you though, methinks.
If only we had strengthened our attacking force in January blah blah blah...
