I do see what your saying but I can also see why Wenger says it is like winning a trophy. Ask me if I am happy with that being our goal for a season and I will say no. But I am much happier with 4th than I would be with the Carling Cup and 5th.

Not only for us. It was the only thing Spuds were playing for too. And if you had finished above Arsenal and got 4th you would of had a fucking parade about it. But now you are 5th your fans will act above it all for another year

If Spuds had dropped out of the Euopa League at the group stages they would be top 4. They are a good team but the squad did not cope well with fixture congestion.

There were only so many times I could say my team were shit and a disgrace and the owner has to go. Besides Everz was doing that on behalf of another Midlands team anyway. Not sure how we survived, we did pick up a bit of form towards the end of the season and played a better formation ... our defenders are such dog shit that even playing five at the back didn't keep the goals out, so attack was the best form of defence and in Benteke we had the find of the season.

Can't see him being with us next season, hopefully the money will be reinvested into some decent defenders. How that will affect us as an attacking side of course is very much up in the air. I do love Gabby but Bent has to go, he's been awful this season, we're just not set-up for a finisher, need everyone on the pitch to weigh in and he only scores goals, the rest of the time he looks like he CBA.

Such a shame about Agbonlahor. He looked such a talent when he first burst on the scene, and the last few weeks of this year he showed how good he can be... just can't seem to find a long patch of good form and looks average so often.

Fuck it, Spurs still had a great season. Highest ever points haul, for the last 13 years 72 points would've got us a CL spot. There are a boatload of positives to take from AVB's first season. Here's hoping we can hold on to Bale and strengthen our attacking options around him. Would not say no to David Villa and Moutinho.

I'm reasonably confident that we will hold onto him. He still has another year on his contract, he has had the best season of his career at Spurs, he has won just about every award there is, he said (today, after the game) "We're a young squad. We'll pick ourselves up and come back again stronger next season".

Of course, all that might fly out the window if someone offers silly money.

He is meant to have agreed to stay this year on the agreement that Spuds will not stand in his way if they failed to get CL football. If that is true is now just a case of someone putting in the right offer. And if it is true that Ronaldo will follow Jose then I see Bale going to Madrid.

I reckon United will break the bank for Bale this summer. Their wingers were shit this year, and obviously it looks like Rooney is on his way out which will recoup some of the fee.
