I cant see the Terry case going anywhere now tbh.
I think the defense has seeded enough doubt.
First of all they tried to discredit the lip-reading, then they admit he said it but the context was not racist? How can that not go anywhere? If he uttered those words after first of all trying to refute the claim then he is clearly guilty, any judge will see that his story has changed to fit defence's line of questioning.
What you want, what you read and what actually ends up happening are likely to be rather different.
Court case means nothing. If they prove Terry said black anything then he needs the same 8 game ban. Suarez explained that what he said was not said with intent but that did not matter a jot. If Terry escapes without an FA ban it will be such a fit up..
That is rubbish it went to court because a member of the public complained. Just like the Muamba guy. The Farce is that it has taken him this long to get to court. It's only gone to court because of who he is. Complete farce. It's his word against Ferdinand's, the footage doesn't show that he use a racist term, just that he called him a cunt. Ferdinand didn't hear him call him it either.
Complete waste of tax payers money.
Yeah every time a player is clearly seen saying "black cunt" the police will get involved that is a shocker alight. I take it you believe in the what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch school of racism in football.Yep and worst bit is , it was a fan in the crowd that made the complaint, imagine the implications of that lol. Every game will lead to a court case.
No but I doubt your average member of the public would hire expensive defence teams to argue the case when confronted with a video of themselves saying what they are being charged with saying. So you are saying if I or any other member of the public was to call someone a black cunt it would go to the magistrates court for a 3+ day trial? I somehow doubt that.

If it is reported to the police then the CPS has an obligation to prosecute, they may not follow up but that is thier failure. In this case though it was in public on TV and high profile because EPL games are screened worldwide, you can't just let it go or it sends all the wrong messages. Kick racism out of football has to mean something or we will end up back in the 1970's with all the social issues being taken into football grounds.

it is a complete waste of money because there is no real evidence.
Oh, and his admission that he did.
And suarez's use of the word negrita is actually a term of endearment - as acknowledged by the rest of the spanish speaking world...
Apart from the video of him clearly saying it.
Oh, and his admission that he did.
er. Are you reading some weird arse news site or something? He didn't and hasn't admitted to it (hence the lawyers and trial). The video doesn't show anything and the lip reading/sign language expert said that they couldn't see what he said clearly if at all.
weird arse news site the BBC said:Mr Terry, 31, told the court that he had merely repeated the words that Mr Ferdinand mistakenly thought he had used.
Suarez admitted to it... Suarez's defence was that racism is fine in Spanish speaking countries
Context. ... not quite the same really is it?
Oh come on, you seem intelligent enough. You can't honestly believe that he meant it as a term of endearment as they were pushing and shoving each other in one of the most competitive games of the calender can you? And that Terry saying "No, I didn't call you a black cunt" is the same as admitting to racism and should have gone to court?
If so, wow.
