It's a shame; always had to defend him against the haters from other clubs. Scored loads of importan goals and never moaned about the random positions he was played in. Cho is right though, the guy deserves regular football as does wes brown.

Got to admit I never rated him, right up until that dire Liverpool game in 2007 when he popped up to nick the game in the last minute. Especially as I was watching the game surrounded by Liverpool fans at the time.

This, I was even more suprised that I had to defend him from Irish supporters of United. They just didn't get how he was in and around the team. The guys a true pro, never moaned, always gave 100%.

This season was a prime example, I recall someone on here saying that Cheslea were going to be dangerous due to Evra missing out and Oshea covering for him, yet they never got a sniff all night from him.

The meg on Figo and Chip against Arsenal, along with the 0-1 win against lollerpool with his poachers goal in the last minute from Ronaldos free kick!

Im getting quite excited for the coming season, I think we could still do with a striker who is proven to score goals in the Prem as I think we're light there but overall SAFC are looking good for the next season.

So a classy agent for a classy player. Modric's agent said they will not force a move, and Modric will give his all for Spurs, they want a good relationship and Modric will only go with spuds blessing. Very strange in this day and age.

Beeb reporting that they have confirmed from sources that Utd made a bid in the region of 20million for Nasri at some point in the last fortnight, and that the offer is still on the table. Sky reporting that we simply made an

Gervinho's passed his medical with Arsenal, and is discussing personal terms.

So very true, Modric is a class player. Bale got so much press last season for what was basically a good 1st half of the season and a reasonable 2nd half. Luka was awesome for us virtually every game. He would be a massive loss.

Doesnt make me any less disturbed about our lack of defensive signings....

Yup Modric is a class act, shame spurs are holding his career back no ones gonna buy the dross squad players harry is trying to flog on the expensive! So they not gonna attract jack shit.

Just watch, dong will surprise you! Good in the air, and a work rate like Park and Lee, he will do alright. I've got my fingers crossed for frazier, hopefully his injuries will be put behind him.

Bolivia had a very amusing implosion last night against Costa Rica. Conceded a goal, then got 2 men sent off, gave away a penalty (which was saved), then conceded another. Lost 2-0 to what is essentially Costa Rica's youth team.

Chile v Uruguay tonight, 11:15pm. That has all the potential of being one of the best games of the tournament.
