You know....looking at this:

Is it just me or are Portugal a much stronger team than I thought?
Came in 2nd in our group.. I keep saying this!

England has, over the years, had some pretty strong sides with lots of quality in them, but if the quality doesn't go well together it all falls apart

All I see is Ronaldo.

Coentrao and Nani aside they insanely average and have no 'striker'.

Portugal's problem is that they really don't have the depth that Germany/Spain/a lot of other teams have.. England have a lot more depth than them..

If Nani or Ronaldo get injured then they get replaced by some quite average players like Quaresma.. and if both are injured then they are quite fucked.. especially since they don't really have a star out and out striker who bangs them in for fun.. they don't really have any decent players to bring on from the bench either compared to the best national teams...they do have a very good first team though but will probably fall to parts with a few injuries :)

Germany, Holland and Spain are full to the brim with quality though :)

Mathijsen has been injured and not played very well alongside with the rest of the Dutch defense the past few games. Heitinga didn't even participate in practice today. Offensively they have an amazing side, but defensively, they will be torn apart by the likes of Germany and Spain I think.

It is much like their own league where it is all about offensive football. I know a few Dutch guys and they all say that they'd rather just see their team draw another side by 5-5 than watch them win a boring 1-0 match. They don't care about defense, it is not in their mentality

Don't think it's much of a mistake tbfh.

As I see it the post is about who's in the mix for the final - and he's saying who he thinks can win it, putting the 4 best teams in there.

So what if they're in the same group. As far as I can see on that twitter post the topic is "who will win and why". It's only a news story if he's been asked to pick the 4 semi-finalists. Which it doesn't look like...

Once the tournament starts Im sure my interest will increase but at the moment I look at the England team and struggle too give a shit. The Olympics team is actually more interesting and you could probably pick a better 11 too.

What a great day. We unveil Lambert, then Norwich make the moves on Chris Hughton. Blues, staying down and never coming back up :D

Your lot didn't give Heskey a new contract... scum team :(

I love Emile, big hearted, hard working player who always gives his all. Hardly scores yet has still outscored Rooney in World Cup finals ;) But he's 34 and its time to go out to pasture.

It's a total joke how Heskey didn't get picked over Rooney for Euro2012...

Here is a really nice picture to show what a great goalscorer Heskey was for his country!

Poor emile always gets slated yet forwards like Michael Owen always have him top of the list of fav strike partners.
