In henderson they are not just buying a kid with potential. They are getting a kid with talent who is 100% focused on improving and being as good as he can be. He does not drink, smoke or piss around. after training he watches football, and tries to understand the game.

so hes nothing like the majority if scrots we have playing for england.

Look at the 21s last night, rose and bertram couldnt cross the fucking ball, and they are being touted as ones for the future. lennon, wright phillips all exactly the same, far too much to soon, and they believe their agents valuation and a couple of nice stories from the press, so they stop trying to improve.

Rep worthy.

Totally agree... I wish Morrison had the attitude of Henderson, because if he did I think he would have been moved into the senior team this season with Scholes going and Giggs in what will be his last, and possibly a very poor season.

Cant see how the off field stuff is not going to have an effect on his onfield performances and that would given Morrison first team games. Especially as Bebe (gone_ and Obertan aint looking up to scratch for our squad.

Meireles was their best player last season after he adapted to the league. Great signing, and they would be silly to allow him to go.

You forget about Lucas!
Altho I agree, would be extremely sad to see Raul go. Especially for Adam :(

Balázs Dzsudzsák to Anzhi Makhachkala.

Must say I am very surprised
From what I've seen of him he could have gone to a lot of different top clubs? (I would have loved him at Liverpool for example)

Anzhi are owned by a russian billionaire and the Russian League is hardly a shitstorm tbh.

Roberto Carlos, Diego Tardelli etc etc are have all moved there.

Ic, fat paycheck :)

Pretty much.. insane money floating around the Russian Prem atm, especially with some of the more poor areas getting rich owners. Terek Grosny (Chechnya) and Anzhi (Dagestan) are two, to add to the now superpower of Rubin Kazan.. going to be a bit of a league of giants soon when added to the traditional powerhouses of CSKA, Zenit, Spartak, Dinamo, Lokomotiv.

Interesting league atm, with CSKA leading, Anzhi on equal points and a Dan Petrescu leading Kuban a point behind.

i am still not entirely convinced that the Russian league will have a big pull on european superstars though (who are in their prime)

i mean... many players dont even like living in Manchester, imagine moving to Chechnya!

and if you want big dosh might as well go play in Abu Dhabi or Qatar

Yes/no. Those places don't offer places in the CL and a decent standard of football that the Russian league does, it's a growing league and with the WC to come it can only grow alot more rapidly. I reckon one of them (or Shakhtar) to win the CL in the future.

Moscow and St.Petersberg are fine. Eye-wateringly expensive, but fine. Getting out into the 'stans though, fuck that, that's hardship pay.

What DaGaffer said.. hence why it is lolworthy that the shitholes are becoming powerhouses in Russia. Kazan already won a title.. next up... Dagestan :D.

im hoping to go to St Petersberg in the summer (its not far from here :) ), what teams are there?

might have to do some football shirt shopping! (and then pretend i know about the Russian league, might have to have a go on FM :p )

i still think it will take quite a while for Euro players to accept the idea of going to Russia to try and win CL, as Man City have shown throwing money at the problem isnt a guarantee of winning anything (improvement yes, but not winning)

I've got a mate who used to work in Moscow for a large luxury car brand. He had to go and set up a dealer network in all these horrible shitholes; he told me in a lot of places they were basically setting up a dealer for the exclusive use of the local oligarch and his mates, none of the locals had a prayer of affording their cars. He said it was always the same when the opened up in these places; the oligarch would pay the local army or airforce commander for a flypast or a parachute display, there'd be a massive opening party probably worth a years' car sales, and my mate would find a freebie hooker waiting for him back at his hotel.

Dinamo is a hugely popular name throughout football. Especially since it is DYNAMO KIEV (notice the Y and not the I ;)).
