Jesus Christ we are a bunch of twats in this country, the media are bad enough, but stop booing your own team ffs.

Hell I even cheer Heskey on when he's in an England shirt, and he is shite.

I wouldn't class 80% of that crowd as real fans bud, it has been that way for some considerable time.

Carrick has improved our midfield and forward play a lot since coming on, hoping Milner will do the same. Milners got that drive that Gerrard seems to have lost with his injury hit seasons of late.

edit:// and he did not disappoint, that goal was down to his contribution :)

Milner, Carrick, Crouch, Wright-Phillips, Baines and Green all done their chances of going to SA a boost from that I thought.

walcott had a shocker in the first half, just trying too hard I think.

Why the feck does the England management insist on playing gerrard and lampard together in a 4-4-2.

Gerrard is shit on the left of midfield, we had no width and Egypt exploited that space constantly. We had absolutely no shape.

Carrick in the middle gave alot of composure, and Crouch gave more options of Feet, head or over the top which keeps defenders on edge as they have to judge what being played towards them.

Milner instantly made an impact, you could see right away what a person that knows the wide mans job brings to the team. We looked balanced and strong. If we play the starting midfield in teh world cup we deserve to go out.

The choice is simple.
4-5-1 with Gerrard/Lampard as 2 of the centre mids if you have to play them both (which i honestly thing is stupid anyways)

4-4-2 with either Gerrard or Lampard teamed up with Carrick or Barry... or play Carrick and Barry together if you want to dominate that midfield battle whilst having a playmaker available in way of carrick.

Personally I would always pick the 4-4-2 with Rooney/Crouch upfront and no Gerrard (especially not on the wing)

I honestly cannot fathom why walcott is still being picked for England - Ashley Young must be thinking the same thing.

Anyone think Walcott just looks a bit shit at football? He is very fast but i can't remember him actually beating a player when he sarts with the ball- something Lennon is very good at.

Seeing as he has only played about an hour for us this season im surprised he was picked too. And he is picked because he has had better England performances even if it was only one lol :)

No, look at Turamber, he goes to games, and he clearly hasn't got a clue about football :D

Also, most Arsenal fans I know have lost patience with walcott, yes he has had injuries, but there always seems to be an excuse when it comes to him under-performing constantly.

Walcott is a fantastically talented footballer.

However, this doesnt always transpire into becomming a fantastic footballer, if you get what I mean.

You don't class the people that actually go to games as real fans?

England games at Wembley? No sadly not and alot of people in the game/media agree with me. They show no loyalty, boo our own players and don't sing half as much as England fans 15 years ago did.

15 years ago, people were proud to be english. These days its seems its cool to want england to fail

Capello should not feel obliged to play Lampard and Gerrard all the time. I thought Milner and Carrick were far more effective in the midfield.

Needs to be one or the other and it has always been that way but every England manager for the last 5 years has lacked the balls to pick one and drop the other to the bench. It compromises us every tournament, hell in every game against a top 20 side.

It annoys me greatly, I was fortunate enough to watch a few England games at Old Trafford and we generated a fantastic atmosphere. People who never usually got the chance to watch thier country play turned up, they cheered and sang but most of all they backed the side. Since the return to London the atmosphere has been shocking. Maybe something to do with prices and food/drink prices inside the ground driving ordinary fans away and thus leaving tickets available for the more fickle 'new' fans to the game?

I see what you mean. I would not play either of them on the wings. I also don't see why you can't play Gerrard as a second striker. Despite Defoe's great scoring record for Tottenham, I am still not convinced by him.

In full agreement there, Gerrard in the hole works for Liverpool, I just don't like it when he pulls his cock out of the hole and splashes hot baby gravy all over Fernando's silky smooth ass! :D

You get my point, Gerrard in the hole is a better option than the current setup. Crouch is too big to play in the hole, his cock is massive and Rooney only has a small bumhole.

And in true international fashion we have picked up another injury.

Half the tickets at wembley go to corporates and shit, hence the shit atmosphere.

The fourth estate won't have a word of it. The manager would be dragged through the gutter on the back pages and hate campaigns started if such a thing were countenanced.

Besides, put Barry behind them and Heskey in front of them and Lampard/Gerrard do fine.

it'll never happen but i'd like to see

green
johnson ferdinand terry cole
lennon carrick gerrard lampard milner
rooney

Gerrard in the hole, Lampard and Carrick deep with Lampard surging. Only worry for me would be defending on the right with Johnson but Brown is shit so i'd rather just attack.

England friendlies should travel the country still get more passionate fans. One thing i know from Arsenal games is there are lots of plastic fans around london. Football is a status thing rather than passion thing.

I thought Wright-Philips had a better game than his last few internationals, I think he needs to be picked for the next friendly just to see how he gets on. Milner was superb and should definitely be picked. Gerrard should be benched, Crouch's goal/game ratio for England says it all, he should play alongside Rooney. Walcott is not living up to the hype at all, he needs a year or two more before he is written off though, he is fast but my mum could probably win a tackle against him. Oh and stop being such a big fanny and give Terry his captains armband back, fuck the off the pitch media fuelled bullshit.

Green (nobody else around)
Johnson, Ferdinand, Terry, Cole

Beckham?, Carrick, Lampard, Milner

Rooney, Crouch

There are a few average right midfielders, plenty of players that make great subs but nobody that is really shining for me at the moment.

Lennon, Young and Wright-Phillips are all far far better calls to start, and if all 3 hold some form going into the world cup, then I really cannot see Beckham making more than one substitute appearance. They give us some much needed pace, and all 3 have massively improved their ability to cross, all three can also actually take on players and hold the ball.

I would have wright-phillips on the right, his distribution is probably a bit better then Young and he is better under pressure then Young. I think young was overwhelmed in the cup final so if you not played him in friendlies to get used to international football you cant start him.

Green

Brown (better defensively then any other right back)
Rio (if he actually gets back to form)
Terry (if he has to go, i would have removed him from the team for what he done to teammate)
Cole/Baines

Wright phillips
Carrick
Lampard/Barry (depends on teh game and if need total midfield domination_
Milner

Crouch (he always does the business for England and gives us multiple play options)
Rooney

...
Young would be on the bench, can play either way.

Gabby Aboglonhor (hmm how you spell it :p ) would be on the bench also instead of heskey.

Beckham can go, I honestly not rated him like everyone else because he too limited on what he could do. Sure he great at distributing but beyond that he not a great right midfielder. I would have him though because on or off the pitch he gives all for England.

edit:
In regards to Terry and Boo-ing.
I can understand why some fans wanted to Boo. They believe Terry overstepped the mark and broke just about every morale code in relation to friends and their missus, as well as what he put his wife through etc. So they are entitled to make it known how they feel.

With this said, they should have only done it on the first instance of him getting the ball and then from that point on supported him for being an England player.
