They give us some much needed pace, and all 3 have massively improved their ability to cross, all three can also actually take on players and hold the ball.

Rubbish, not one of them is even remotely consistent as a crosser. Especially Lennon and SWP.

Oh and I wouldn't put Wes Brown in an under 11's game based on current form, fucking shocking for a guy on £65,000 a week.

Shows how shit they were before at crossing really.

They *have* massively improved, yet they're still shite. :p

With this said, they should have only done it on the first instance of him getting the ball and then from that point on supported him for being an England player.

Yet instead of doing an interview and aplogising sincerely for the shit he has stirred up, he comes out and thanks the fans for their support and response durnig the match, completely ignoring the fact that people were expressing their distaste.

come world cup i think Brown should be in better form... and tbh right back is a weak spot because there a lack of players that are all round good.. to many are offensive minded which is all well and good at club level, but the way England are they need at least 1 defensive minded fullback.

The right wing is also weak point, basically the whole right side. We got no one that can take players on and cross the ball consistantly well.. Beckham is a 1 trick pony, and unless he is in a crossing position he gonna do a tiny 2foot pass that of no use. He cant take on 1 man, let alone a couple. As such it easy to mark him. I rather take the pace and have players that can threaten the defense constantly, even if the crossing aint the best all the time.

BBC Sport - Football - Premier League rejects fourth-place play-offs idea

if 7 clubs need to say no i wonder who the others were?

Stupid idea though would add at least 2 games to the season and if you have CL or FA cup finals to play the Final of this little play off could have been 3 weeks after the season ended not good for World Cup and Euro years.

Gold, of west ham, stated it wasnt lack of support for the idea... it was that there was no time in which they could be done due to the FA cup and CL finals possibly stopping one of the teams being available.

It was good to see Egypt come and give us a good game last night, too often teams just turn up and don't bother.

Concerned about our defence, midfield, attack...well all over really.

A few months before the world cup and it's all very close to going tits up. I suppose you could say that at least if you are going to have problems and injuries then have them now and not in May.

In defence, lets hope Terry gets over is personal problems and Rio, Cole and Johnson get fit. Although I not too sure about Johnson tbh, right back is a weak area, but anybody is better than Wes Brown.

Midfield, can't make my mind up about Barry but I think there must be better options. Not sure a Gerrard, Lampard and Barry midfield works. And if you want a ball passing square then Carrick is your man, too often I see him taking the easy option and passing it back to a defender when he should be our playmaker. He should find room in the starting XI for Milner but I think Capello sees him more of a utility player.

Poor old (well young!) Walcott. Unless he has a fantastic end to the season with Arsenal, which I can't see happening, he ain't going. He is a better player than Wright-Phillips but I can see him going and not Walcott, you can't argue with his recent England performances.

Up front. Well lets just hope Rooney stays fit and out of trouble but you have gotta love Crouch, 2 goals and a fantastic attempt at an overhead kick :worthy: It's something like 20 goals in 38 matches which is impressive.

Still reckon Spain are gonna walk it in South Africa.

Ashley Young is an excellent crosser of the ball, and is good running at speed at a defender. Unfortunately he doesn't always choose the best option and will sometimes go back to beat a defender 2-3 times.

He is very much a confidence player, but I don't think he'll get the lift he needs to play his best under Capello.

Anyone seriously think Rooney will maintain his current form for another 3-4 months?

Yes, the guy is just class. Doesn't suffer from mood swings like Dogba, and isn't as fragile as Torres.

Problem I have with rooney and England is England have not got the foggiest idea how to supply the bloke. They have watched him banging in the headers for the last few weeks, yet the balls into the box were either shit, or they just past inside for Lampard to play another two yard pass.

Bored of hearing about john terry now, ppl have to get over it. After all some of the best players are Ass-holes off the picth, George best for example. We need to accept they social retards but great at what they do normally and just move on. Can u really imagine tho if george best had got all this stick for beating up the waitress or stealing the old ladys purse?. I doubt he got almost any stick and thats because it was off the pitch and a seperate matter. Was he ever boo'd for his antics?, thats a geniune question cus i dont know.
