Fresh fires started by Marca today, apparently Gerrard has told Liverpool he wants to go to Madrid.

What do people think? The only reason he didn't join chelski a few years back was the death threats from the scouse underworld.

I dont think Gerrard has been happy at liverpool for a while judging by his body language but you cant blame him. He has given his all for Liverpool and the clubs ambition hasnt matched his. If he signs for them wankers then may aswell hand them the title now as he is the kind of player they need, someone who can drag them out of the shit and grab a game by the scruff of the neck, like Messi can do at Barca. At united, ROnaldo was this kind of player, at madrid hes just a fancy dan who scores goals when it doesnt matter. I think Gerrard would be immense at Real madrid

Would also re-unite Alonso and Gerrard, those two together are just as good as Xavi and Iniesta when attacking.

I would have to agree with that, painfully. I think Alonso and Gerrard were a dream pairing

So Joe Cole being released on a free by chelsea... who do you think will pick him up?

Not many teams can afford him considering he turned down 90k a week deal, can see him at one the lesser spainish sides due to the tax breaks, or the likes of Man Shitty that just buy anyone and pay stupid wages

It depends, he demanded those wages from chelski, but will probably settle for lesser wages at a club that gives him indication they will play him more.

I'd love Joe Cole to be at united, he's an amazingly gifted player who just needs to be appreciated IMO.

No. Just no.

Messi by his own doesnt grab a game by the neck w/o the assistance of Xavi or Iniesta btw.

And Ronaldo this year has been inmense. To the point of being him vs the opposite team in many games, despite being injured for more than 2months.

Gerrard would be a nice addition, but no way I would pay 30M € for a player in the final chapter of his career.

That is an awesome advert, not sure it's better than the Nike one, certainly different.

Well atleast we've not left it till the 11th hour to sign someone.

Im not sure if he'll be any good, but we do lack firepower, so i hope he can come good.

We need to work on our midfield, and another strong right back imo.

Indeed, say what you will about him and Liverpool, that was an incredibly nice gesture on his departure.

Tax right off, it will help him keep more of his £6million payoff, nothing nice about the gesture at all.

You are wrong mate. He walks away with less money than if he hadnt given anything to charity.

IMO, its a fantastic gesture
