Arsenal need a draw next week. If Utd beat us they'll win the league imo.

Our team play does seem better without him sometimes. although we definately struggle without him over a season, previos two years show that.

He only scored 8 goals last season in the league!

Bolton are looking the most dangerous at the moment. Doesnt bode well, need to get a grip of the midfield as they breaking from there too easily

From Mark, Northampton, via text to 81111: "In the absence of Rooney I think we'll see a hat-trick from that 'own goals' chap today. He's gone missing in recent weeks."

lol at this twit of a ref.

Apparently as a defender you arent allowed to stand there when the ball is in the air after the opposition has tried to barge you over. Never known that to be a freekick to the player trying to knock over the defender.

1847: Breaking news: Gianfranco Zola has said he will consider his future as West Ham manager following the 1-0 home loss to Stoke.

Does that mean we can have Clarkey back? :p

Dont know which way this game is going.. we rarely drop points when taken the lead this season... but Bolton are coming on strong and always have the chance of grabbing something at 1-0.. espeically with their recent home record

We're playing wide which is fine, but we need to switch play and stretch them. At the moment we fly up the wings and cross against their huge defenders. If we can stretch play, we can open up space through the middle.

I think Giggs or Scholes will go off for Park as he's able to both defend and attack, plus he's quite fast.

yeahy Berbatov scores.. even if it was just a tap in. (poor keeping on initial shot)

And Barcelona are lucky not to be 1-0 down in 2minutes.

edit:
The man behind all of man utds tropheys in the last 3 years is now on :p (Carrick)
Guess we going to finish 9-0 up as he will change the game now

The second goal killed the game tbh. We dominated posession as was (about 65% posession this half) but Bolton always posessed a threat. Since that 2nd goal though they looked demorilised totally.

Nani again proofing he was worth that new 4yr contract that Ferguson made sure he got, he even doing a much better job defensively now also. Guess he spent time with Park. lol.
Nice little bit of skill, but it was just too easy.

edit:
Nice play by Berbatov tbh, he played a lovely weighted ball to Nani. Nice cutback and Gibson just loves to hit shots first time. That was a lovely sidefooted finish

I think they can, however good/bad they may have been playing, they are only 3 points behind Chelsea. Either Man Utd or Chelsea are gonna drop points when we meet so they could sneak a 2nd or even 1st place finish.

I must say I don't know who Arsenal have left to play.

Spoke too soon?

Lol. Must have (not that Carrick really done anything in the goals)

Depends on next weeks result.
Chelsea vs United draw leaves Arsenal with a good chance still. A win to either side and it be very tough

Wolverhampton
Tottenham
Wigan
Man City,
Blackburn
Fulham,

2 possible tough games in spurs and man city.. beyond that they should get max points.
