Will someone please remind Malouda that he is a shit winger please?

Spurs have been far superior this half, lovely goal from Eidur, Fulham look clueless.

alot of talk says he shouldnt be on the pitch for the elbow he threw.

Chelsea certainly been throwing them around apparently.. with a broken nose and a suspected broken cheekbone from their antics oO

Birmingham losing again.

Looks like at the moment the only team inform for the Europa places is Everton, everyone else is faltering it seems.

If that is a red card then i don't know what isn't.

The commentators for that game were terrible, they even said we "ground out a 5-0 victory" xD

Looks like you might get your wish as Drogba looks injured too, just when he was on his way to winning golden boot :p

(Don't mention the first half, that was woeful)

The way things are going we'll lose all 3 of the matches against the top 3, everyone else will continue to fuck up, and Everton will take 4th

The first 35 minutes of the second half were so tepid. Admittedly Sunderland did all they could to stop us building any fluency but surely we can play better, and with more urgency that?

I am a big fan of MON but the same team for the fourth game in two weeks isn't just poor management, it is lazy management. No wonder the players look shattered and are carrying various injuries.

Delfounso looked like what he is -- a green kid making his way. Heskey looked good in his cameo appearance, but once again - he can't play that many games in a short period of time, he's not a spring chicken anymore.

We can still finish fourth but by goodness we need to start winning some games. We need Gabby fit and we need to rotate more.

Turamber,
I agree that villa look lost at times without Gabby. They rely on the height of heskey/carew too much and lose the threat of the ball behind the defense, and the very fast counteratttack which makes them so strong.

Villa definately need to get into the transfer market in the summer (especially if they get 4th) to get some depth for when the fixtures get congested

We do have some choices - unfortunately Delph and Reo-Coker are both injured, which leaves only Sidwell, Petrov (carrying an injury) and Milner (ditto) for the central midfield berths. Up front its pretty desperate with only Carew properly fit, Delfounso is just too green for these important games.

In defence we have an embarrasment of riches, yet persist with an injured Dunne at centre back and an out of position Cuellar at right back, whilst two good right backs sit on the bench. It has me tearing out what little remains of my hair.

Oh and EDIT: Was really pissed off when some muppets cheered the news that Heskey was injured and Delfounso was coming on. And they then proceeded to rubbish Delfounso all game -- had clearly never seem him play before, the dickheads. Then there was boo'ing at the final whistle from some of the cretins. I shouted at them to shut the f*** up, which made me feel a little better at least. Twats.

Aye, but if a team wants to be a constant top 4 then they really need an abundance of players to fall back on, even if they are younger players (ie take Gibson for Man Utd, and Evans last year).
You need plenty of players that can do a good job when needed to cope with the injuries, though you do need to have a manager happy to put these players in (Even Fergi can be annoying, we got quality young defenders but he played Carrick at CB for instance and it cost us some points)

edit for your edit.
I hate people like that, especially when they got no idea about football.
Only been to 1 match up here in Scotland since arriving (Free tickets to Rangers vs Hibs (iirc)) and my god there are so many fans that do not understand rules of football and swear about things.

Marc, you usually talk a good football game. But you've talked nothing but shite these last few weeks.

Loosing all those bets must have started taking its toll on you.

Have you seen much of Arteta? How can you say he wouldnt get into the england squad? Im pointing out the difference in the lack of squad depth and the fact at one point he was mooting over playing for england
