I really do feel for the Pompey fans and i think it shows some sort of Owner test is needed. 4 owners this year not one of them has done anything to help the club.

You have to wonder at the thinking of HMRC though Corran, they knew that given the option of winding up or administration, the club was always going to go with administration. If HMRC really wanted it's money (well our money :( ) then they should have been more lenient, now they will be lucky to get a small slice of what was owed.

I actually feel really sorry for Grant as well, that guy doesn't need anything to make him look even more miserable than he does. Would not suprise me if pompey went on a winning streak, now they have nothing to worry about.

Nice figures but like all business figures certain things make them look a little less great when you look at the article.

I dunno it looks OK to me the Property business in profit at last the Outstanding loan on the Highbury Square project down to £12m with 100 plus flats left to sell. There were some worries with the housing market going down we would make a huge loss on these projects but looks like we will turn a profit when all the flats are sold.

I don't feel sorry for Pompey. They've got extension after extension which no side outside the premier league got. They've had plenty of time and options to sort themselves out which we never got.

Our debt was bought about by buying a new staidum which we needed if there was ever going to be any chance of us staying in the premiership. They spent ridiculous money on players + wages.

Pompey can fuck off.

I have no sympathy either, they spent well beyond thier means and those crooks Redknapp/Storrie have sunk that club whilst gaining in the process.

Well I guess it depends how many flats they have left to sell, since this gave the figures a nice bump enabling them to reduce the debt and to some degree show a profit. It should also be considered that it isn't as if Arsenal actually spent a lot in the last financial year on transfers either which all teams have to do at times which is certainly something I see Arsenal having to do before next season.

However it could be nearly 4 times as bad...you could be Man Utd :p

who will playLB for england? cole out for 3 months, will he be fit enough and in good enought from for WC? bridge sulking in the corner, can't see that he's hurting any1 but himself with that decision.

i've always been a massive fan of warnock, after he left pool i thought he was one of blackburns best and most consistant players, and now at villa he looks even better, but he's only had 1 international apperance and not even 90mins iirc, other that that leighton baines always impresses me but again no experience

Okay I can't stand shitty, BUT. At the moment they are improving our title chances AND hurting Liverpools chances of 4th. Great stuff!

Craig Bellamy on the Terry/Bridge situation: "You guys make a lot more of it. I know what JT is like and nothing surprises me about him. Everyone knows what he's like. But that's off the pitch. On it he's an outstanding player and a great captain."

brillant comments from Bellamy. Love it.

And as much as hate to say it, got to be pleased about that City win.

As much as i like arsenal i hope stoke get a result as dont want them breathing up our arse with the run in they got compared to us.

Takes one to know one, so he's perfectly placed to comment on Terry.

I'd drop Terry for a game if we didn't have so many injuries at the moment.

Now i know how Arsenal feel :(

I don't really think Terry's form has been affected that much though, it wasn't just him making mistakes.

Ever since mourinho left you aren't as scary at home. There was a distinct lack of response from Ancelloti to going down to 2 goals, I felt he didn't really try and change anything.

In the last four games we've had (City, Everton, Inter, Wolves) Terry has been a bit off tbh - lots of kicking at air and not picking up his man.

I'd say this stuff has affected him, but as a team we're missing two of our players in Ashley Cole and Essien.

With any luck we'll have Essien, Deco, Zhirkov and Bosingwa back to the bench in the next week or so, so hopefully we'll have a few extra options.

Essien is the big miss, any side in the world would be lesser without him.

Poor guy's got glass knee's though it seems. If he was fit for the whole season we might not be sitting with United a point behind us and Arsenal not far behind either.

could be worse, his knees could be as good as hargreaves :(

And Arsenal look like they could absolutely hammer Stoke now they got going.
