3 penalty shouts turned away for us so far, maybe we can beat our Barcelona tally :p

Ya know, at this rate if Chelsea lose this game then both their and Utd lack of consistancy could give arsenal the title. lol

Arsenal are going to cock up loads as well dont forget.

Whoever wins the title this season, it'll be because every top four team has been slightly crap.

It's the same level as all the transfer links flying about. Only in the head of a Liverpool fan are they the more attractive option currently.

Dunno what it is about Chelsea but they've been playing really badly at times recently, they are only in the lead at the moment because others are doing worse.

every year chelsea through a bad patch, but they still usually manage to grind out results, which sets them apart from most other teams. but i agree the only reason they're top is that the same can usually be said for united but it's not happened for them so much this year.

Bentez: "I have seen the replay and for me it is not a sending-off, but anyway the referee was perfect. He didn't make any mistakes. Now Javier is injured, and I will say again the referee didn't make any mistake."

Press: "We don't understand? You say the referee didn't make a mistake?"

Bentez: "No he was perfect. Perfect. He was perfect."

Press: "So why was it not a sending-off?"

Bentez: "I have seen the replay, for me it's not a sending-off, but anyway. Perfect."

Press: "Was there any particular reason why players like Gerrard or Torres couldn't get it together and perform?"

Bentez: "No, the referee was perfect so Torres, he didn't have any problems."

Press: "You were a goal down before the sending-off, the average observer wouldn't say you were controlling the game at half-time. Why do you say it turned the game when you were a goal down already?"

Bentez: "If you see we created a couple of chances and we have plenty of possession in the first half I was convinced we could change the game."

Press: "Can you just explain what you said about the referee?"

Bentez: "Perfect. No mistakes."

Press: "But you say he made a mistake with the sending-off."

Bentez: "Perfect."

Press: "Don't you think Torres was fortunate to escape being penalised for that elbow?"

Bentez: "The referee was perfect."

Is there a bigger wanker in football than this clown?

Why's that funny? You'd expect him to set some high goals since they're already top 6 with a game in hand and likely to buy more for what's already a deep squad.

It's definately for the taking. Liverpool don't look up to it, be fun to see how their midfield fairs now that Mascherano is injured, especially considering how stubborn (and thick) Benitez is.

Some interesting facts; last season Liverpool played against 10 men in over a quarter of their games, and received penalties in over a quarter of their games too :p

"My goal this season is not to get sacked before the end of it", is what he really should have said.

FIFA World xxx of the year awards are under way atm.

So far Ronaldo has won goal of the year for his long ranger against Porto. Personally i would have gone for Grafite's goal.

The FIFPro World XI: Casillas; Dani Alves, Terry, Vidic, Evra; Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard; Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres.Seems fair enough to me, except that Alves is a **** ;D

I expect Messi will be announced winner of the main award soon enough.
