if chucho hadnt been greedy and kicked it it would have stood

dont see how you can let play go on for so long when theres a player down and out 4 yards infront of goal though

how hard can alex smack a ball? xd

The shot was going wide imo, so he had to get the touch. He was onside so it shouldnt matter.

And you let play go on as long as it needs to, you cant punish the attacking side and stop play otherwise players would stay down until play gets stopped as they so often attempt.
Only reason play should get stopped quickly is due to a head or serious injury. Not just because most the players are wimps now days.

If they stopped play every time someone fell over, Chelsea games would last for days.

Wolves playing well, tis good to see. The way that ESPN went on about Liverpool in the run up to the game was way OTT, hardly a mention of Wolves at all.

We have to play Liverpool on Tuesday, just two days after playing Arsenal (away), so I'd be grateful if you could kick Torres a bit more and wear out their midfield.

Wolves did a massive job at the first half, but after Ward has been sent off, they aren't producing anything, and now 2 goals down I don't see them putting up much fight really.

Was a good game up until Ward's foolish 2nd challenge, now Liverpool is just hammering everything they got at Wolves' goal :) Being a Liverpool supporter, I like tho ;)

i refuse to pay for ESPN due to the way their pre-match is so biased most the time. It just annoying and evn though I can get it for something stupid like £3 a month for the next 3 months i wont give them a penny.

Ward you fucking ****, ref you fucking ****.

Gutted tbh, up until his sending off we looked like getting 3 points.

Oh and ESPN you ****, don't your fucking braindead tarts realise that if it wasnt for Wolves the precious European Cups and all those 'special Anfield nights' wouldn't even fucking exist?.

Massive game today for Arsenal losing to Villa or even getting a draw today could mentally end our title challenge. With Chel$ki drawing again we need to take advantage and we have to be able to beat the teams around us.

Could turn into a massive few days for Villa too if they got two wins it would hard not to take them seriously.

I should think our aim is for four points from the two games. Playing twice in three days will be very testing for us though, particularly as O'Neill doesn't like to rotate much, if at all. Even two points wouldn't be a disaster for us.

Should be a good open game today, looking forward to it.

Yellow was right IMO Young was going down before he got near Song.

Complete non-performance by us in the second half. Couldn't pass, Milner and Young powderpuff, no service for Gabby. We looked decent in the first half but should have kicked on and taken it up a gear.

Strong win in the end fingers crossed Cesc is nothing serious but what a difference he made i would not swap him for any other CM in this country.

I was disappointed in O'niels tactics today, a depleted arse squad with no big strikers to trouble villa's defence, and he plays a very counter attacking game. If they had gone after arse in the first half the game could have been very different.

Hull performed really well tonight, was impressed in the fight they showed.

Was good to have a more or less normal team lineup again finally. Could see they werent all fully fit but you could see the difference.

Cesc was immense, in 30minutes he done more then any other player on the pitch. He was just outstanding in everything he done. Shame that the risk failed. Sure they got 3 points but now another 3 weeks or so without Cesc is going to be awful and dont know if it was worth the risk

Until we find out if its 3 weeks or 3 days its hard to say. The funny part is if he is out 3 weeks he will miss Portsmouth West Ham (FA Cup), Bolton, Everton, Bolton all of whom we should be beating. He should be back for FA Cup 4th round and then its Villa away and Man U home so having him rested may be good.

My worry is still Song and Eboue going to ACN Song has been an unsung hero this year.

I think we were looking to play our normal game and attack when we could. Didn't see much wrong with our first half tactics or performance but we should have kicked it up a notch after the break.

If we get a win against Liverpool the second half no-show won't matter, but anything less than that and I can see our form and confidence going two months earlier than it did last season.

I have just been watching the Prem Highlights of 98/99 the year Man U won by one point brings back some good memories and some horrid ones, I remember watching the loss to Leeds in the pub and think I have only ever felt worse that that once in my life.

Its looking set to be a great second half season from a neutral point of view, I can see UTD making a come back and pinching the title from Chelsea. I am not sure if Arsenal can maintain their momentum though I think they will finish 3rd which is a shame, it would be nice to see managerial skill and teamwork beat bags of money. I also don't think we have seen the last of Liverpool this season. 3, 4 and 5 are hard to predict.
