GoA was shit, Mythic is better but still has a long way to go in the light of other mmo developers. Just look at CCP (eve-online) and the amount of upgrades done to support the increasing player base. DAoC has had a decreasing playerbase for how many years? And the company managing the game are now struggling to allow all players to play? What on earth did they do with the free'd resources after clustering "all" servers. My guess, porn and WAR.

CCP are far from perfect tho , as your ingame assword and eve-o forum password are by default the same , this caused me to lose like 8 billion isk when i got keylogged as the guy just changed my reactivation e-mail :lol:

It wont, not at first atleast. Alltho...... they did increase the player cap on ywain recently so. One can only hope.

Have Mythic announced yet that they will be doing a Europe mega cluster ??

They still not posted anything on how they be going about it have they.

All Goa have done is announce that last day for server saving will be the 15th and database will be handed over to Mythic on 17th.

There has been no new news as to what is actually happening yet! Personally i cant see EU accounts being able to xfer to Ywain but lets hop im wrong!

I heard from few yanks that only english clusters will be able to transfer over on ywain and non english will havea diff cluster. I might be wrong tho.

As far as Ive seen yet, it seems like its gonna be:

One big EU cluster (english), shortterm, then enabling transfere from Ywain to the EU cluster.

That would give the EU players with Ywain accounts the possibility to bring their accounts to the EU cluster gathering most of the EU players on one cluster again.

Well if we can just get the amount of players up to 3000-4000 prime time then it could be really good. But Im abit worried that would lead to a prime time of only about 1500-2000 and leeching the Ywain cluster of about 1000 players also.

Best would be if they could make their Ywain servers handle 7k pop, and enable char transfere into accounts...

but well see what happens in a few days...

Hopefully they will make a single big european/english server with a transfer option. Playing with 200-400 ping on USA servers might not be such a great idea after all.
