Basically FireCake made a gigantic wall of static def and had a maxed out army of SH, corruptors, infestors and Broodlords, while MaNa had a skytoss army with colossus,voidray, tempest and Mothership. They then mined out the whole map, with the players both sitting on 20kish banks and did nothing for about 2 hours.

It was absurdly bad game.

Yeah I hate that shit. Akilon is the worst for that, even worse than daybreak was. If I get ZvP on that map I always try to end it asap

I dropped from rank 1 to rank 20 just by an abysmal laddering session this evening

You are probably getting matched up against better people. Also, as we get better we notice our mistakes and get more frustrated with them.

I suspect season lock has made people less try-hard. Actually started winning alot again

I usually find end of season lock/start of new season turns ladder into a cheese fest. People desperately want to spend their bonus pool and get as high as they can at the end of the season. And in master league everyone thinks if they can just get a few more wins quickly during the first week maybe they'll get promoted to GM.

Predictions for Blizzcon? I think Innovation will absolutely smash it with MVP getting far as well.

I think Soulkey and Dear. I'm not so sure out of the terrans. Possibly Polt or Bomber to do really well.

Nothing wrong with Plat mate Most of the people I get matched up against are Plat atm but have been in masters loads before.

It's just very demotivating and frustrating. Plat is such a tryhard league where you can lose to worse players quite easily if your level of play drops, which I feel it does when playing there.

I actually ended as rank 1 in my diamond division, so even more frustrating to get demoted like that. It's not like protoss is any easier to beat in plat than diamond, I mean, they still build units
