Very little of anything "interesting" ever comes out of the Telegraph.

So this is the exception that proves the rule.

Andrew Neil kicking the shit out of the in and out camps on BBC 2, including the fishy figures used by the treasury for the £4300 worse of by 2030.

How can either side make credible claims about the economics of brexit when it'd be a massive negotiation process with the eu of which the terms are unclear and unpredictable.
Both sides will make extravagant claims to suit their purpose.

The economy is beyond prediction, no one knows, though uncertainty always gets investors edgy, once a stay or leave is announced the pound will rocket.

Its looking more and more likely that more countries will be holding independence referendums in the next few years too. I think this is the beginning of the end now. Its a shame because we could work together and Europe could be fair but the un-elected don't want that. They are trying to build a superstate based on lobbyists and private business, an America ver 2.0. Who the fuck wants that?!

Yeah, bin it now, get out while we can.

By your rationale, if other countries are going to leave then we don't need to "get out whilst we can" - as it's going to fall apart anyway.

If it's the "little" countries then you're laughing even harder as they'll have to support themselves.

Political reform of the EU from within is what's needed here.

The BBC program Europe: Them or Us was good, it showed how history repeated itself with David Cameron doing a Harold Wilson. It also showed how the EU constitution which was rejected by countries like France was eventually shunted in to the Lisbon treaty which was signed by member countries.

Better an organised exit than a collapse.

It won't be the "little" countries that leave first, it will be us, then France, then the Netherlands, then Germany.

Political reform of the EU from within is what's needed here.

Been tried, didn't work. EU Ltd are against any change that will stop the gravy train.

Get rid, try again in 50 years.

We dont need reform, I cant see anything they are doing drastically wrong, I just dont want their end game, which is s federal superstate, with a Euro army, blanket rules and all paid for by millions of culturally unsuitable migrants who will work for peanuts.
All very nice I suppose if you are willing to let your nationality die with it, too much history for that I feel.

A European superstate is exactly what I do want but it must be fair and democratic. There is just no point having a second level of undemocratic government on top of our own.

So Obama is backing the stay campaign with veiled threats of Britain being" back of the queue when it comes to trade deals with the US". What the fuck? Bullying us to stay in Europe to veto anything that the EU decides will be bad for the US. This makes me more determined than ever to vote leave. Fuck off.

Ok 'Merica let's see you hand law making to another group of countries. Yeh right. For me it is not about the economy but being in charge of one's own country. I will happily pay extra for that privilege. The Government I vote for should have the final say in all laws of our land not anyone else.

America won't even sign shit like banning land mines or joining the ICC because it would undermine their sovereignty, yet they think they can preach to us to stay in, so they have more leverage.

They can fuck right off as far as I am concerned. We do not get involved in their internal dealings, same should apply to us.

The anti Obama language from Tory politicians is astounding, I think they are having a chance for a pop at an outgoing unpopular president.
I expect all boloks from Obama to be thrown in the pan after the election, we can just cosy up to Hilary I guess, or if she suddenly decides to become muslim, we'll be quids in with Trump.

Although there is some logic in what he was saying, in essence we just wouldn't be able to instantly expect a trade deal to be done.

"American President punctures your dreams". Film at 11.

He just told the truth, and boy that burns with all people who think we can leave the EU and fall into the waiting arms of the "anglosphere".

This is just getting incredulous, right in front of our eyes, Germany is rolling over free speech at the worst possible time to protect the most poisonous area of EU policy.

Don't even try to justify it, simply scandalous.

Pirate Party’s leader detained in Germany for citing poem about Erdogan

It's appalling but Erdogan's lawyers have been smart and used a piece of law still on the statute books from the days of Bismarck. It puts Germany in a bind, because they need Turkey right now, but I don't expect anything to come of it.

Even more reason to be rid of Europe, they seem intent on getting into bed with some seriously questionable regimes.

There are reports of a large crackdown of journalists in Turkey who have responded to the arrest, Turkey slips closer to civil war.
I appreciate he was told not to recite it beforehand and its bordering on accusations of murder and childporn, but it was just a retelling of a satirical piece and everyone on both sides knows the consequences, but still, it's the most awful precedent being set on day one of the Islamisation of Europe.

I think it's more of a 'Why do Germany still have laws because they lost ww2?'
