Sorry, I know I said but...

I am genuinely confused now.

My point is...

We live in a democracy and we made a historical change, this isn't a general election where we're guaranteed an election in 5 years time where we can vote the other way if shit goes down.

We disagree with your views on the EU, we listened to politicians harp on for 10 years about the EU spreading absolute lies and bullshit reasons for leaving and in reality most of those reasons didn't actually come into play. (I'm not going to list them because theyre fairly obvious.)

Hence why I think the view of 'its done now, just accept it' is totally ridiculous. Do you think the Leave campaign would have done that if it went the other way?

I feel like the people were deceived and I think many people who voted Leave are starting to realise that and if the economic situation deteriorates (granted, much worse than it is now) then there could be a chance to rejoin and possibly be able to change our decisions, this is only possible if people remain to be vocal about it and then political parties will pick the issue up, as I say it's a democracy. Telling people to shut the fuck up is pretty poor form to be honest, especially on something which is so fragmented. It's not like we're car bombing parliament, or going on strike. We're simply keeping the dialogue open, and what's the harm in that?

Edit - RE: Politicians 'Shut the fuck up' - before this comes into play I'd like to point out that Politicians have said this out of keeping their career because they work for us (supposedly.) So therefore they have to 'respect the decision of the people' that was THEM coming together. It doesn't apply for the plebs.

Some very selective, rose-tinted reading from our Leavers... Nissan is building new models in Sunderland after government "support and assurances". I'd love to know what "support and assurances" were given, seeing as nobody knows what's going to happen if and when Brexit actually happens. Of course it's good news but the announcement doesn't give a sense of companies falling over themselves to work in the UK; it seems more like the government is begging them to stay. If they're going to just subsidise companies that kick up a fuss "for costs related to any new trade tariffs resulting from Brexit" (as alluded to), that's going to get expensive very quickly.

Nissan thing isn't surprising; product cycles being what they are. Plenty of time to build a new factory somewhere in Eastern Europe before the next Qashcai/X-Trail need to be replaced. Nissan also already have capacity sharing with Renault if things really go down the dumper after Brexit, so they have a plan B.

It's the tories in power. We'll probably become a tax haven like the Cayman Islands for all corporations (but not Blighty's citizens, of course).

City of London is currently legally separate from the rest of the UK. Why not make some "special" arrangements for the rest.

Indeed, they could be onto the next model and out of the UK long before Brexit actually happens.

Oh I do apologise, I will try to avoid being positive in any way in future. Nissan have committed to building cars here for the next 6 or 7 years or so, but that's terrible, as it means we'll all be driving Nissans when we leave? Bloody hell.....

Subsidizing any tariffs on the cars Nissan make won't work out too expensive at all - we'll just pay it out of the additional tariffs on German cars if it comes to that.

So about GSK making an extra Billions thanks to the vote, the economy growing by 0.5% (way above all predictions of misery), ING creating 400 new banking jobs in London? I'm guessing there's an oh so tedious negative spin to put on that as well then is there? Is it a side-effect of wanting to stay in a joyless supra-national entity based in Belgium to be so fucking miserable about everything?

Growth has come from the weakness in the pound. Nothing more.

I am sure glad that I'm significantly poorer in real terms than I was before this kicked off for that 0.5%.

ING creating 400 new banking jobs? Cool. HSBC will definitely be relocating at least 1000 to France directly because of brexit. Was in a meeting that confirmed it yesterday.

Heh I do love it when the mask slips and our socialist friends start bleating on about their wealth, almost make me feel sorry for them.

Actually not really, just makes me wonder why you don't have assets in another currency - even I've managed that, and those assets have gone up about 20% since the vote. In fact I may even cash some in and buy some new golf clubs. Yay Brexit.

And I'm sure HSBC would be happy with you leaking their future plans on an internet forum, especially when it seems to contradict everything they've said so far. Given the state of banking in the EU they'd be daft if you ask me, but we shall see how it goes.

Come back and have the same conversation in February when all the retail prices shoot up. I'm sure they'll try to hold the line on price through Q4 and the January sales, but then they'll have to start passing on the price increases to the end customers. The cracks are already showing on new product like the new Macs and Playstation VR, but it'll be important stuff like food soon.

You mean when inflation rises to the target the BoE have been trying to hit for years?

Hey, you're the one who's going to pay for that inflation not me; but over here everyone's already being advised to fill their boots with shopping up North before Christmas because UK prices are expected to rise significantly next year.

Lulz. Continue to play the man and not the ball @Bodhi.

Well, fight fire with fire and all that :)

However, you did bring the man into play by going on (again) about how much poorer you are....

The argument was clearly to point out how much poorer nearly all of the 65 million UK inhabitants are.

That's shitloads poorer by the way. Shit loads.

Taken in isolation I agree - fuck Apple anyway and I can easily afford an extra 20p on a jar of marmite. But, you're missing my point Tony - these have all been directly attributed to the massive drop in Sterling's value and are just the start of what will be round after round of similar increases - read my post a few back and my concern is how this will have a knock on effect interest rates, mortgages and thus retail sales and growth.

Nah - the days I had time to get so into a game are well gone. I did some GW2 for a while, but that fizzled out, some Elite Dangerous but now played that in months... working too hard, I guess
