Thanks for the replies,

also how do you deal witht he bumps which come up due to the nicks on the skin. You need to reshave and will end up going over them again and therefore not allowing it to heal up, or do u just shave around?

and for ingrowing hairs I've had to use a pin to bring them up (you can see them under the skin) then pull them out. But I'm thinking i shouldn't pull them out and just cut them and allow them to grow in the right direction instead of allowing the skin to regrow over where it was, and the hair folicual end up being stuck ender the new skin (going in circles). I know it sounds kinda extreme but it's something alot of men have to put up with, and in extreme cases (some condition its called, cant remember of the top of my head) have to get the area of skin out out (happened to someone I knew)

The only thing I can think of is perhaps getting something like magnesium sulphate paste (I think it's this stuff, can't remember the blasted name, but I'm sure it's the same stuff they use for ingrowing toenails)? You can get it from behind the counter in chemists like Boots (if you're in the UK).

It works to draw things out, like splinters etc, so it may work on tough hairs. Also the nicking thing, if you just let them bleed they'll close up faster.

Aw and there was me over the last few days getting a bit bored of FH (mostly on the main DAOC forums due to whinage etc) and thinking about taking another break from FH for a few months - did it about a yr ago as everything I was reading was whinage and it just didnt seem worth getting annoyed reading whinage all day just for something to do to pass time in work etc... and then I saw this thread the other day, saw it was multi page and thought....hmmmm will save that one for a good long quiet spell in work.....and how glad I am that I did!!!

Legendary thread tbh for O-T !! Hasnt turned into some homo whinage thread or anything just a open and honest thread (with some seriously bizzare bits thrown in for good measure) and with some of the funniest stuff I have read on here in ages !!

Thank you all for restoring my FH faith :worthy: :worthy: :worthy:

And no... I still am not going to let curiosity get the better of me with this meatspin fad... I am still trying to erase tubgirl from my mind - I have tried bleach down the ear, petrol in one ear and lit matches in the other, but nothing will remove the Tubgirl :(

If I could I would rep you all in this thread as well, managed a few of ya but a fair few also have the usual "spread the rep love around first monkehboy" line ...

Ah back to work now after that !!

good god lol, i was working on the lotions and potions aisle at work the other night and thinking "who the hell uses all this stuff??" and now i know!

i've got some clearacel face scrub/clenser and a bottle of nivia clensing moisturiser but i keep forgetting to use it, though i do religiously moisturise my lips and hands (silly that, should do the old face too, will have to make a mental image of mikah going "moisturise or youll look like a rasin!!").

but beware too many products can be detrimental, especially hair stuff just shampoo and conditioner and give it a rest a few nights a week too if you use a harsh shampoo or youll go bald and have to shave your head!

now then where was i...

I agree with Evzy great thread because of the honesty in it, no bloody whining or anything.

Yurka,

Sometimes no matter how hard you try you will get a hair that ends up being under a scab perhaps. I generally just let it do its own thing until I can get it without ripping my face open. There is nothing worse than ripping of scabs and stuff for a little hair/blackhead it messes your face up. It will get to the stage where removal is easy just be patient.

well good. your hands age much faster than your face.

(that was a just a joke as I know the answer to it would be so shocking and disturbing that it should never be discussed in public)

Im sure I read somewhere that the reason it itches after the hairs sprout, is because razors, scissors and shavers all work by sheering the end of the hair off, leaving an effectivly pointed hair, like a spear.
So you spear yourself with your hair when you move around etc.

Pretty much yup, because you only cut the surface. The best method - and nine times out of 10 the most painful - is plucking, because it removes the roots. Second best is waxing because it's a hell of a lot faster and doesn't hurt quite so much.

Most painful experience in my life so far - my mother paying for me to have my eyebrows plucked for the first time. OH MY GOD! Talk about crying like a baby. I'm sure it was her revenge for my Goth rebellion at the age of 14.

Always go with the wax if you're wanting to remove completely ;)
