Better, still pretty obvious though. :) Being on the defence is always easier. almost everything someone says can be used against them in some way :p

Got a general shaving (face question)

Currently using a electric shaver though would prefer to wet shave, but I've got a few problems:
1. I touch my skin with a razor and the whole area goes bright red, so sensitive skin = cuts + mine field look on face
2. My beard hair direct goes all other the place, not a clear cut gain (this is my neck).
3. Suffer from ingrowing hairs (I have curly hair)
3b. Hairs stay against the skin so don't always get picked up by electric, so can take me up to an hour shaving to get a clean look, which SUCKS big time spending that much time, when it takes most people 10-15mins normally.

Electric help to cut down Nr1, but any tips advice would help, been shaving for like 4-5 years now (im 22, was one those early beard growers)

I have covered this already but I will repeat to educate you :p

I use Clinique for men when it comes to washing my face, facial scrub once a week followed by a cleansing face wash twice a day. I moisturise in the morning after my wash/shower and before I go bed after my wash/shower.

I use the new Loreal for men range for Moisturiser very good cream nice scent aswell.

Make sure you're using a sensitive shaving gel/foam as well while you're actually shaving and make sure you use a lot of it - don't scimp with a tiny little amount.

And, as Mikah said, moisturise :)

Sometimes it's better to start off with an electric shaver and then finish off with a wet shave using a razor like a Gillette.

/em runs back to the girls corner and leaves the boys to their shaving.

its incredible how most men still call you call or see you as feminine because you moisturise.....just shows how moronic and synical they are, and by the time they're 40, they'll look like a raisin

Thanks for the replies,

also how do you deal witht he bumps which come up due to the nicks on the skin. You need to reshave and will end up going over them again and therefore not allowing it to heal up, or do u just shave around?

and for ingrowing hairs I've had to use a pin to bring them up (you can see them under the skin) then pull them out. But I'm thinking i shouldn't pull them out and just cut them and allow them to grow in the right direction instead of allowing the skin to regrow over where it was, and the hair folicual end up being stuck ender the new skin (going in circles). I know it sounds kinda extreme but it's something alot of men have to put up with, and in extreme cases (some condition its called, cant remember of the top of my head) have to get the area of skin out out (happened to someone I knew)

This is, no doubt, the most metrosexual thread on off-topic and can be at any time be used against many forum members. Lovely :D
