Not in the EU. There isn't specific legislation to let the powers that be do that, except;

He hasn't been convicted of anything yet, and even if he is, see above, there's no laws to let a judge ban you from accessing a computer or the internet, and these days, no practical way to enforce such a prohibition anyway. Its one of the problems with all the "three strikes" proposals for kicking people offline; an ISP can refuse to sell you access, but Data Protection Rules mean you can simply go to another provider, and a judge has no power to issue a blanket ban.

There is a small loophole for the authorities if they use anti-terror laws (and internet bans in the US have more teeth for this type of reason) but in the UK and EU even that is time-limited.

So plenty more crimes being "taken into account", but not actively tried. Cash haul? 136k. That they know about.

It's not illegal, no. Sadly, it's pretty much the only way to buy them in the UK, as touts buy every single ticket as soon as they go on sale.

Care to explain why I'm so bad for buying them this way? Especially as I refused to pay anything over cost price for them, because I will not allow anyone to profit from holding tickets to ransom? I'd rather not see a band, than pay over the odds and let someone profit. I'm stubborn and principled like that.

But hey, you're right. I'm obviously just as bad as he is, and he's stolen over 135k of money from people, including children, and people with disabilities. How dare I try to get hold of a ticket for a band I've wanted to see since I was 14? I might as well rape a puppy with a severed monk's dick. ITS THE SAME THING!!!!

I might have slightly over reacted, but since I've actually made public before my hatred of ticket touts, and joined campaigns to ban the resale of tickets for profit, it got my back up. I *hate* the fact that the only way for a music fan to lay hands on tickets involves being forced to turn to places like ebay, gumtree, and so on.

Oh no, he scammed children and people and disabilities. Why is that worse than scamming you? stick to the facts. You shouldnt need to be extreme to prove your point. You're acting too much like the tabloid press.
