I agree with Bodhi (not one word Bod ).

If you dont like it in here then thats your problem. There is always the option to NOT come here. I agree that there is a lot of shite posted (and yes MT, you have been one of the worst at it) but that doesn't bother me. These forums were never created for any one person and it is arrogant to think of them in any other way. They represent society, retards and all, and that's the way it will always be.

Personally, I like it in here. There are quite a few peeps that share my sense of humour and I enjoy either exchanging decent views/debates or just talking complete wank with them.

Isn't that what we all do in real life?

indeed Kez, creating intelligent threads is a task. as is maintaining the level of discussion in them. Funnily enough, such a thread can pop up anywhere imo. In the eye of the beholder innit?

Personally I don't feel it's too difficult to tap the IQ/EQ of the board, especially during the evening, but imo a good discussion doesn't necessarily need a heavy duty topic [politics heh].

Just be aware that many of us come here to unwind. Example [me] : when I'm here, I want to talk shit and act an arse. I cruise the general forum for fun and personally I'm not on the lookout for content. [Not that I deny good content to others tho, but imo, it's their problem. if they want content they'll have to generate it.]

Intelligent debate...(I know I'm late, but hey, so what?)...We do get a few good threads going (yes, the euthanasia one was a very intelligent one, where I got to share my typically liberal point of view).

MT, it's not often I say this, but shut up (I can't bring myself to swear at you, but the thought was there ). Whining about how shit everything is, how even if there was intelligent debate the spam would kill it, etc etc, as you have already been told, isn't going to help anyone. Welcome to the internet, where people are free to do what they want, to spam shite if they want, and to post intelligently if they want. Would you rather moderators hung over every post, knocking back anything that happens? I didn't think so.

So, to bring that little rant back onto my point, if you ain't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. And while I don't see a problem, you do. What that says about your subconcious (or about my addled brains nasty habit of making things into circular arguments) I ain't too sure.
