I ordered two things online but there are now four things in my local delivery depot. Apparently the easiest way to resolve this difference is for those four things to be returned to America, for me to get a refund and then order again in the hope that who ever sorts it the second time can count to the dizzying heights of two. My dad picked me up in windhoek and we drove 700 km up north to the middle of nowhere. Now it seems a piston has decided to blow in the block (2004 xc 70) New engine gone less than 90.000km....no spare car, no mechanics, nearest rental is 400km away...naturally..in the wrong direction..Or risk limbing it 500km though the Namib-desert to get to where we are supposed to be fun times...

Nope, the road from Opowango to opowa was just recently built (asfalted) by ze Chinese, before that it was le dirt road.
and yes, the roads are preaty strait, hold the wheel, point the car lock in elbows and go

Windhoek - Ondangwa - Opuwo = 944 km
Windoek-Opuwo direkt would be 714 km

I meant, the Romans didn't build the roads so 700km isn't necessarily a different country. And while Germans and Chinese like straight roads, they aren't quite as anal about it as the Romans were.

By African standards Namibia isn't that poor. I mean its poor, but nowhere near Bob-Geldof-Give-us-yer-fekkin-mooney poor. Its actually a really interesting place, I'd love to go back and do the Skeleton Coast one day.
