maybe turn off auto correct?
I'd think that pressing the button for "this is not a smart-list" would be enough, but no....not this time.
maybe turn off auto correct?
Because he pulled back from match point perhaps which was what made the final entertaining?
But it's what they are paying for. Being paid for doing nothing. Fair enough. But don't moan about it. Find another jobHaving a contract, having to go to an office, having *zero* work to do, but having to do a religious 9-5.
Pathetic.
The other option being a no minimum hour contract. I know a few people on those who get to work get told there is an hours work that day and only get paid for one hour. I would rather get paid to do nothing tbh.Having a contract, having to go to an office, having *zero* work to do, but having to do a religious 9-5.

Because then he'd be a full-time contributor to capitalism.I know you like to contract so you can avoid tax, @Scouse but why not get a proper structured job? Trouble with contracts is if they notice they are paying you for nothing they will give you the boot.
why not get a proper structured job
On the "getting paid to do nothing" - I'd rather work hard. Whole days drag to fuck, minutes feel like hours if you don't have any work. Science shows physical pain may be preferable to boredom!
I do that and have the security of a permi job. Things have moved on regards working from home with the age of the internetWhat, so I can work hard for two years, have to do "performance reviews", "personal development" and "company training", worry about bonuses and whatnot, yet only get six months equivalent pay whilst voluntarily handing over 50% of it to the government?
Don't think so
Never mind. I get to do 2 days a week from home soon - so I can get all my work done in 3 days and spend 2 days wanking whilst kicking a mouse every 15 minutes
Quit and get a proper job if you hate it so much. Nothing keeping you there. Specially as your a contractor.
I do that and have the security of a permi job
Been there 16 years redundant = big pay out give and I will be happy. You obviously dislike what your doing as you post you don't like sitting around .What makes you think I'd like a "proper job" more?
Why would less money, more tax and worse working conditions (performance reviews??!) make me happier?
Lol. "Security". If they want rid of you they'll get rid. The number of people I've watched actually crying as the door hit them on their redundant arses on their way out...
I've genuinely got sympathy for them. They've fallen for the lie. The trick is to be employable - and not to believe that they give even the slightest fuck about you. Because they don't.
Jobs for life are few and far between. And when people do lose their 25 or 30-year comfort blanket positions they're so institutionalised that the very thought of change often totally paralyses them.
Sad to see.
You obviously dislike what your doing as you post you don't like sitting around .
I a aware you can earn more money contracting. Not my bag though. I prefer the predictability of permie.I dislike going into an office and having no work to do. Am I actually getting slated for saying that work is shit when there's nothing to do?
Your imaginary redundancy money (2 weeks statutory for every year over two years isn't it?) doesn't cut the mustard tbfh.
A few years back a mate of mine got made redundant after fucklol (like 30) years. Was rubbing his 85-grand wheelbarrow of cash in everyone's faces. Another mate convinced him to go contracting, which he did. He laughs at his own redundancy money now...
I wouldn't be winding you up Moriath if you weren't being such a permie cunt. Work is shit when there's nothing to do - permie or contractor matters not one bit. But if you're going to be a dick about it then you can have some "loadsahhmoney" rubbed in your face for your efforts
If your only priority in life was gathering wealth.I've seen the amount of money contractors get paid in Engineering.
If you have no mortgage and no kids (Like Scouse) Then contracting would be a no brainer.
If your only priority in life was gathering wealth.
If your only priority in life was gathering wealth.
My priority in life is having as much fun as possible. I need sponders to do that (I like time away from work, as @Gwadien said). I also like being my own boss.
The "downside" is that if they decide they don't like me for any reason (inc. being on the blob) then the feedback I get is being out of a job - which I think is fine tbh.
Anyway - I'm not bored any more - I spent last night setting up a Server 2012 R2 domain controller, remote desktop web access services (and all the faffing with certificates that entails) - and now I can securely and remotely access my domain (and therefore my PC's) from anywhere I like and short of blocking the internet entirely there's bugger all anyone can do about it.
So here I am!
Yes, another Student Finance rant.
Because my dad started his own firm last year, we had to do a self-assessed form to predict how much they'd earn this year to work out my loans/bursary etc.
So this year, we sent sufficient documents supporting that estimate, they approved it, then said, oh can you send another form to say how much you earnt last year?
What? so they basically want two documents of EXACTLY the same fucking thing.
Honestly, mongs.
