bought a small SSD to use as a ZFS cache drive. after installation it flamed out and took a WD Red 2TB and a case fan with it. it may have also taken out a SATA socket on the mobo. dammit #1

went to mediamarket with the WD, as I got this one there since the MM is located just around the corner from me. they took the disk back, and gave me a credit note. I then said: so I just walk up to PC parts and grab a new disk, yeh? MM guy says: sure, or a different one. I was like...hmmm what does he mean?

anyway, the MM just around the corner from me doesn't stock mechanical disks any more, unless you mean "special kit drives" that cost 200 euros per GB. So, no more mechanical disks, no small SSD, and a messed up server. Anyhoo, I used the credit note to get a Sammy 840 EVO PRO. I'll RMA the flamed out SSD and ask for a WD Red 2TB in return and then it's saving up for that LSI thing @caLLous has sex with every night.

Anyway, when I say the smoke I was like FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU... but most of the computer still works. So, yay, I guess.

What make was the firestarting SSD?? Did you buy a Samsung 840 EVO or a Samsung 840 PRO? I was looking at the PRO but the EVO is a tasty performer for my needs so I got a 500giggle version of that instead.

I recently had a dinner party with three wimmins there. I had made a MAEGAGOJIRAEPIC chocolate brownie with 3 different types of choccy in especially for them, because like a truely insightful man I know the best bet for getting laid is to overload the female mind with chocolate.

Turns out the girls had consipired between themselves to accuire a melon and some mint. They then proceeded to make a melon and mint salad for their dessert, in MY kitchen, with MY global knives. and then they said "we knew you were going to make some over the top sweet thing for after, and we're eating healthy!"

So, my mate and I ate the entire brownie in front of them, accompanied by a cappucchino and some fine port. Because they were bullshitting. And deserved punishment. And I wanted the brownie. Didn't get laid though :-/

All religion is shit and made to pit one set of people against another. However comforting it might be that there is a god and after life. More people have died for that on every side than is beneficial

Kingston Tech V300 60Gb. It was the smallest one I could get. I now have a Sammy 840 Pro doing the same job for twice the price (and size tbh)

So i had a great night---well i say night, more like 2 hours of headachey turning in bed.

I'm not sick you see, but my friends insy and winsy over here seem to be. One, a past middleaged man who decided that yes, indeed running back and forth upstairs and downstairs is a good idea between 2am...yeah....and 4am. Oh, but one should also bang the door in the middle as oud as one can and every now and then drop a plate of food on the kitchen floor. After that i did get, i tried to get a wink of sleep, just in time for the roomie other to start his monthly, and do mind my terminology here, "i like to sound like a retard heeeeee heeee wleebeeee!" serende at 5am. Which again, reasonable time to wake up i find. On a weekday. To do nothing but bellow out blee and bloo and wabababaas.

So now i'm a tad tired, my head hurts and i'm probably messing up some grand terminology of the queen because of an unstable slinky and f*cking Hodor.
