Looks pretty decent, but coming from a pretty neutral standpoint I don't think it looks incredible. I'd quite like to give it a bash and see how it plays at some point though.

Take some closer looks at the lighting effects, particularly in wet, night conditions. It's near photo-real, how is that not impressive?

Just watched it again and the only thing that really impressed me was the rallying towards the end of the trailer. The lighting on the road is alright but doesn't strike me as anything ground breaking. Plus the rain on the windscreen and the wipers looks a bit naff.

Other than making fun of the bolded parts, I want to know which of those games has dynamic weather, dynamic time of day->night racing, a point-to-point stage track editor, automatically generated point-to-point stages with a co-driver, go-kart racing, procedural body damage, licenses for WRC/Super GT/NASCAR, head tracking and 3D support, 16-player online racing with up to 32 players in a lobby, etc etc etc.

It has better graphics and it has more features. It'll certainly drive better than PGR4 and Grid as those are shitty arcade racers.

trust me, these videos do the game injustice. I played the real thing a few weeks ago in 2d and 3d. I was simply blown away by the level of detail in the game.

GT5 will be the standard that all other racers must follow. Also having F1, WRC, road cars in the game (and the Top Gear track) just adds another layer of icing to the cake. When I walked into the trailer, put on the glasses and the game fired up I actually got goosebumps as it was like watching a motor show on tv.

Oh man, Burnout 2, I was godlike on that game in multiplayer, it was so much fucking fun and they ruined it with lousy sequels.

Yeah we used to play it splitscreen on my big telly, eat loads of pizza and drink the house dry. Burnout 2 was always the game of choice. Crash modes were brilliant, always funny when someone totally fucks up a run and scores 0 points.
