I love the augmented reality shit with the camera. Really shows off how accurate it is.

Not that I'm even going to consider buying it :)

If you are talking about Move then yes I can confirm that it is extremely accurate! The inclusion of a handheld controller makes all the difference in my opinion and if I had to choose between Move and Kinect (I have both consoles) then it would be Move without any hesitation.

Hehe, when I played Move the other day I was playing table tennis. I got carried away and managed to hit the wall several times, thank fuck the glowing bit is soft and designed for retards like me that cannot judge distances that well.

Seriously, trust me, Move is fucking accurate. It is the one to go for and I can only see Sony expanding and building upon it. Did I say that GT5 is just fucking wow?!?

I played GT5 in both 2D and 3D :) Was totally blown away by the graphics and have never seen anything like it. At one point I actually got goosebumps.

Have never "bigged" up any game or games apart from QuakeWorld and Tribes, I can honestly say that GT5 will redefine the serious racing game genre.

All the modes will be in the initial release, Top Gear, GT5 standard, F1, WRC etc. It's a massive game.

Now I was playing a pretty old beta in relation to what is being released and the only thing I did notice was that car damage was NOT present in the code I was playing. I seriously hope that it does make an appearance and the Sony reps did say that car damage had been added.

Even without it you will want to play this game.....

Yeah, Move's the only one with potential to get a remotely deep (hardcore) game with.

Oh yeah, and I'm so pre-ordering GT5 soon. Can't wait.

That means a lot to me because I consider Quakeworld and Tribes amongst the best games ever released. I was going to be getting GT5 on release anyway because I have GT5P.

As for the PS3Jailbreak being open-sourced, it won't take long before an enterprising group include backup management and enable playing from BD images.

agreed, qw and tribes preety much consumed my life over 10 years ago still cant believe how i managed to feed me self and pay off the horrific phone bills:)

as for the ps3jb its already been enabled to play games off hdd. amazed that the sticks it works with had been all sold out from all the major parts sellers in usa and western Europe.

general thinking is its been patched for now, sony wont be able to stop this kinda method.

having updated to latest fw, my sodding chunky day one ps3 now sounds like a vacum almost as loud as my elite:/ it was dead silent before

Now the system is wide open to unsigned code it won't be long before they get around the firmware fixes and also exploit other holes. The genie is out of the bottle, even more so than Xbox 360 which is an arse to hack so that you can run unsigned code. On a PS3 a monkey can do it.

They keep patching the PSP too...

Firmware updates mean shit if you don't install them, even if you do they can be reversed.

People will run the hacked machines and not worry about online play, I would take free software over online console gaming any day of the week.* I imagine there are still a lot of hacked 360's about for offline use.

That's not really the point. Its pretty straight forward to mod a PsP to play pirated games on it. Or just buy a slightly older one and mod that. My PS3 for example hasn't been updated in a couple of months now so is not on the latest firmware. My PsP is on god only knows what firmware version as I haven't updated it in over a year.

Like I said, a firmware update is only a problem if it is installed and even then there are ways to uninstall it.

which is surely the point?

It is the same situation on the 360

The ps3 isn't exactly 'wide open' yet as a child could work out what consoles are altered (the paths for the games are easily detectable as being incorrect) so the xbox style ban waves will start arriving

I really dont see what the fuss is about

The point of what? I don't play online on my PS3, losing that functionality wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I have my consoles for single player games, post pub football/Wii sports and a media centre. I have a PC for online gaming, its streets ahead of the console experience.

The point is, if people want free games they will get them, maybe not in the "hacks" current form but they will do soon. Losing online play to get free games will attract people. No amount of firmware patching will change that. There is even a market for banned Xboxes, people buy them and don't give a shit about the online ban.
