As a Liverpool fan I believe its time to throw in the towel :( But fuck me what a game last night, Wigan was just up and ahead from the first minute, and that deserves some credit.

Good work for Manchester tho, 3 titles (Maybe, depends on how lucky Barca is once again) is very impressive! Looking forward to next season :england:

Actually it will be 3 titles if we get the point against Arse. World Club Cup, Carling Cup and Premier League. If we beat Barca, it will be 4.

Vidic leaving is a non-starter. The best players are ALWAYS linked with Madrid, their problem is they are not the force in Europe they once were, and through Calderon have managed to sour relations with every other major club in europe. Fergie won't let him go anyhow.

Barry for Hargreaves I could see, I do not think Hargreaves will ever recover sufficiently from his knee to be a consistent player for us, and that is a shame.

i cant see hargraeves agreeing a move to villa to be fair, and i cant see villa agreeing to him unless there is solid proof that his injuries are all behind him. Something that will not come until at least the january window.

Cant see vidic agreeing to a move to real madrid. In recent years they have lost all their status claims. Going out early in champions league, not winning the league, looking a very appalling team in big matches etc etc. They got alot of work to do in order to get back where they were, and to be fair they got no chance of stumping up the money for all the players they need/want.

Noo, not until it's defiantly over :(

If Wigan has beaten Man U yesterday which I bloody hoped they would, it would have been exiting but I just don't think Man U will drop all 3 points both vs Gunners and Hull :(

Also, while it is dangerous to write Arse off, they are not playing for anything now. I think Wenger will continue using his squad and giving young players run outs as he did against Chelski. I think getting at least a point against them will not be that hard. We have something to chase more than just pride, they do not.

Kicking sleeping children however, is quite safe. Especially if you live in the Brent council area

If Arsenal manages to win it will still be exciting at least (if Liverpool wins as well). When it's down to the last game everything can happen. Now is no time to give up winning the league, even if it doesn't look too good :)

I'm getting worried the Cesc to Barce shit has not started yet which means he might go ;)

Not a target this season by all accounts. A centre back is Pep's priority with a striker a secondary target. We dont think Bojan is going to be up for the job for a good few years yet and Henry aint getting any younger. I know feelers have been put out for Adebayor in the past, but we were told by his agent he wants to stay at Arse for his entire career. David Villa is more likely.

Bye Martin, thanks for the memories. Easily one of the best Premier League central defenders over the last four or five years.

Hangeland is being mooted as a replacement, and he's a big mate of Carew (literally), so it seems possible.

Olef Melborg not being convinced to stay looks bad now, you will have trouble finding a replacement as good as Laursen.

problem is arsenal fans been waiting for 4 years now, and there is no sign of arsene changing his ways. patience is no good when everytime a player gets near to their potential they leave for a team that will win them trophies.

and it a shame about laursen. but it good that he was willing to make the call and not put long term health at risk by getting ops etc to get possibly 2 more years.

There is a difference between venting your frustration and turning on your players though. Oh well, it seems the chav culture in this country has found its way to football in a big way over the last few years. Booing is the norm now.

well i dont agree with the booing, but asking fans for patience is the wrong way to go about addressing it. the fans been backing him and his ideals for many years now and seen their team going backwards instead of forwards.

If he had sense he would have just mentioned that he understands their frustration but taking it out on the players is not going to make matters better.

with that said eboua (cant remember how to spell it) improved after getting booed something chronic. So guess the fans will say it worked. lol.

The guy who spoke about Ade was spot on he has got his pay rise and has been lazy this year he has no fire. As a shareholder he has the right to say something should be done he is one of our top earners and he walks though games. But he has never had a hard time during a game like Eboue got.

I think what Wenger said was worrying because you can read it like if he does not win stuff with this team in the next 2 years he will not renew his contract. That will be a massive shame. I am honestly not upset that we have not won a trophy in 5 years because the other work that the club has done is massive. I still maintain I would rather not win the league than sell our soul and buy the fucker. (Not a dig at Man U but at the fans that say take the Fat Russians money and buy world clss players)

The stadium is still a bit strange the boo boys seem to be much louder than ever before and I wonder if it has something to do with 22k extra fans every week and the 5k plus business fans crammed in there its lost some of the grit and fight the crowd used to have.

Soze, I agree with the principle of "not buying the league" (though i refuse to accept man utd done that when you look at the fact they got alot of their old players still there - and like arsenal got decent young players that they making world class).

I just think Arsene needs to maybe purchase 2 experienced top quality players. This doesnt mean spending £100m or buying an entire team. Just get that central midfielder and central defender that has some experience and is world class. Possible to get this done at £40m. Yes it alot of money, but winning trophies will bring that money back through prize money and commercial deals.

a proven cb/defensive midfielder would be awesome. And mebbe a striker who'll actually have the guts to shoot once in a while.

haha benetiz going on about the money man utd spending on players again... then you see the list of players and money spent.

Man utd focused their money. 3 players for approximately £37m (berbatov, Tosic, Ljajic)

Liverpool spent about £31m so not much difference. However he spent it on 5 or 6 players....

clearly mmoney isnt the issue, it is how it is spent.

Well it's been said at the beginning of the season that he didn't know what his best team is, and over the course of the season I think he has shown that is getting closer to knowing what that team is now.

Going to the pub later to watch Man U trounce Arsenal and get it over with so I can watch Liverpool tomorrow play decent footy and get on with the business of next season :)

Really? Try telling that to Kaka who has agreed terms with Real Madrid

didnt actually know he agreed terms...and kaka is just a single player. They got another £300m to get the rest of the players they after?

edit:

haha, look at where the report is coming from. It the same paper that always says a player has agreed terms to come, and they havent. Also no sign of milan having accepted the offer, afteral look at what they turned down from city.

BBC seem to have different approximations; but do agree 3 players v many.
United brought in Dimitar Berbatov for £30.75m at the start of the season, while Serbian duo Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic arrived from Partizan Belgrade for a reported combined fee of £16.3m.

Liverpool, meanwhile, signed left-back Andrea Dossena (£7m), Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri (£3.5m), striker David Ngog (1.5m), forward Robbie Keane (£20.3m) and Alberto Riera (£8m).

Although they did resell keane xD for a loss lolz.

Marc you need to stop reporting from the spanish press, they are useless. Everytime you talk about a transfer I just nod my head and smile.

It doesn't matter whose valuations you use. Do the maths, there is still a £6million difference, it's hardly showing that Utd have massive spending power compared to Liverpool. Benitez facts always make me laugh.

Ahahahah -

Arshavin has a few choice opinions on women drivers: "I would never give driving lessons to women. We need to build a few new roads for them. Why because you never know what to expect from them," he said.
