Can Liverpool afford Tevez though? If his agent is after 30m theres only two clubs i could realistically see stumping up for that.

Tevez will end up at City. He has said he doesnt want to leave the premiership. On paper it looks a good strike force, Robinho and Tevez, but City need a targetman idealy

Just think, if Hiddink had been at Chelsea from the start, Chelsea would probably be top now. If they had won, half of the home games they drew, they would have been on equal points with united

My eyes! My eyes! I hate you :(

I have a veeeeery fine looking Liverpool fan on my Facebook friends tho. All breasts and gorgeous face. I shall have to console myself looking at her for a few minutes to remove that imprint from my retina.

Really high tempo football at newcaslte. Boro just gone 1-0 up in the third minute after some lovely play alves and tuncay, it was an own goal in the end though.

Newcastle have had a few chances too, I think this could finish 3-3.

This game is going to be immense if it carries on like this, all caution thrown to the wind.

1-1 now. I think we will have sendings off as well.

I don't know....

good win, but the did it against boro who leak goals. They have Fulham next, who are chasing that 7th place finish, I do not see them winning that one. Villa on the last day, they should win, villa will have nothing to play for -unless they decide finishing 5th is worth some pride. Hull have Bolton and then Man U. I don't think Bolton will give them to much of a challenge, they have nothing to play for. If we have the title by then, then Hull will play our reserves on the last day. I think Hull have 4points there, whereas Newcaslte probably only have 2.

Also sunderland have pompey and chelski, 4points possible, but they only really need 2 to be safe.

We have been very poor against the bottom few teams and also crap at home. All season that is, and not just during our shit spell.

But I would hope the team would want to put on a performance for the last game of the season at home. Probably a draw I would think.

No chance of Sunderland going down, it would take a total collapse that seems unlikely given their last two games. It would also take wba and the geordies winning every game. You are living in fantasy land :)

Hey, no harm being hopeful, there been similiar bottles like that in recent season.. Reading last season and Sheffield Utd before hand.

a blackburn/sunderland/pompey relegation is still technically possible afaik :p

come on you huuuuuuuuuull bash those bolton boys and maybe a point or three against man utd's 2nd team (or 3rd team if we really lucky)

only problem with that is of course likes of rooney, ronaldo and co might get rested but whos on the bench? rafael, marcheda, tevez, nani etc argh :p

was watching the newcastle game with a big smile at 1-1 then martins came on and ruined it :p

I know it isn't Premier League but it will be Burnley or Sheffield joining Birmingham and Wolves next year.

I really hope Sheffield don't go up, the West Ham saga has ensured I have lost all respect for them.

Same, I have no respect for Sheff Utd, they may well have felt aggrieved, but they signed up to agree by the leagues rules and decisions. All they have done is open up a whole can of worms regarding law suits and football. they got relegated cause they were too shit to get enough points. End off.

yes they got relegated because they werent good enough... however it understandable that they take action... they signed up to the rules/decisions of the league. Rules which were broken on multiple accounts (remember you can view each game tevez played as a breach of the rule) by west ham. As such it can greatly be deemed that west hams actions had an influence on their demotion (would they stay up without tevez.. well look at who scored the goal against man utd) and so west ham have to be held liable to losses.

It simple business practice, and though it a football team you got to remember they got to abide by business practice (hence the point deductions for adminstration etc which isnt to do with football but to do with how you conduct business).

But beside that, I dont want sheffield to come up. Want to see Burnley in the big time :D

Sheffield United have every reason to be pissed West Ham broke the rules but the FA (Trevor Brooking) did not follow through with punishment because it’s not fair to punish the fans. That’s why the FA take 10 points off teams that are already fucked because that does not punish fans! The FA bottled it as they thought that West Ham would go down anyway. But if they did not want to dock points they should have banned Tevez for the rest of the season. Not as punishment to him but to West Ham.

I'm sorry, the Fa fucked up yes, but again - I don't think West Ham as they were deserved the point deduction. The owners and board had changed. Sheff Utd if anything, should be taking legal action against the old owners and board members.

Whatever your feelings on whether sheff utd deserve compensation or not, you need to look at the bigger picture. This sets a dangerous precedent that will lead to more and more law suits when a club feels aggrieved. That is something that has the ability to destroy sport.
