some good goals from blackburn though, and well, if tottenham win it'll mean 6 points between 8th and 20th makes every point crucial!

(incidently no one has ever been relegated once they reach 24 points i believe it is, could be seeing that this season methinks! also only 4 teams have ever been relegated with more than 17 points, can add another 3 to that i guess :p )

who would you find funniest to get relegated? i think it would be hilarious to see Man City, Tottenham and Newcastle relegated :p

is 5points going to be enough due to the way the league is this year?

Would be quite funny but also kind of sad since theyre clubs who have spent so much time in the top league for so long.

Saying that i'd actually pay money to see Tottenham go down.

i'd love to see spuds go down :) but then wouldn't be able to go see arsenal v spurs derbys which would kinda suck. Man city would be funny mainly due to cos of the shear money they've thrown around.

Pomey and Spurs going down, would that mean Harry Ballsack got 2 sides relegated in one season? Oh joy! :D

I am afraid thats a load of rubbish. Unless you are getting confused and mean by the new year? (24 points by new year means you won't get relegated?)

In 2002-2003 West Ham were relegated with 42 points.

I think only Derby (and possibly Sunderland) have ever got less than 17 points in a season.

i believe 32 is the lowest number of points to make it impossible to be in bottom 3 but i heard that from some random site so not entirely sure!

edit: just read above post and doh! ok, give me another... <checks amount of games left> errr.... 15 wins? :D

This season looks to be very competitive. I think 39-40 points will be enough this season although you may still need a change of pants for the last game of the season. However the way things are looking the bottom team may still end up with 35-36 points.

Barcelona on fire! Messi is out of this world at the moment. Untouchable!

The Barcelona match was on the telly last night and had nothing to do, so I watched the game and wow.. Best football I've seen in years! I'm in no way a barca fan or anything, but I will be surprised if they don't take CL, the league and the cup

Don't know what to say, but WOW! Messi was out of this world.. Could easily have been more than 5-0! And they way the players were so humble after an amazing performance just blew me away! Good to see Henry celebrating and not just being a selfcentered twat, like he was in the Premiership :)

i watched it as well, when Puyol got through the commentator said something like "now the centre back Puyol is through, this is silly, if he scores, im going home!" :p

lol that was so funny, Puyol being clear through and one on one with the keeper. Showed great composure to try and round the keeper, rather than what a premiership defender would do and just smack the ball as hard as they could. Eto should have let Puyol take the penalty tbh.

Only one thing can make football interesting, and that is the guy we photoshopped long time ago. Damn interesting player, and where the hell is he when you need him?

Thank god the forum has tags for the topics so people who don't care about football don't have the troll our football threads.

Talking about luck.. Anyone seeing the Madrid match atm? LMAO @ the ref! Juanfran brought down twice in the penalty area and he gets booked twice and sent off.. 2-1 in Madrid's favour atm with 3 minutes to go, but Osasuna has been robbed badly

As long as the ball goes in the net. Ferdinand is a much better finisher than Puyol.

And better at everything else come to think of it ;).

He is. The only thing that Ferdinand lacks is pace. Apart from that he is the complete defender. Id have him at barca without a doubt.

Barca looking awesome, they deserve to and are probably favourites to win the CL. Whether they will or not is another question, you just never know with these things.
