It was a great win for united and they played fairly well but couldnt help get the feeling watching it, that it wasnt so much united winning as Chelsea being awful...half their team is 6ft+ I heard a commentator say and they are a mess from set pieces!...haha if only rooney had told the linesman what he was doing it would have made for some fun discussion!

United weren't at thier best, of that I am certain. The difference though was workrate, Park, Rooney and Fletcher made Chelsea look lazy at times.

I did rather enjoy seeing Spurs lose (again). 'arry is made for that club ... completely overrated. The way the guy talks about players he is interested in is absolutely disgraceful, should have the book thrown at him.

Chelsea are something of an enigma. They blew Villa away at the Bridge earlier in the season but since then have been a shadow of themselves. They were absolutely tripe today, particularly second half, and Scholari looks absolutely lost.

With no new investment from Abramovich, plus Arsenal heavily in-debt and with their weakest squad in ten years, could we be looking at the implosion of the "big four"? By god I hope so.

Arsenal are in one of the best positions of any team in the league, at the moment we need to sell out 2/3 of our stadium to cover our debts so untill you see crowds below 40k week in week out we are fine. That is why Wenger will not buy big names its not the transfer fee its the wages, he is making sure the club if profitable and self sustaining unlike most of the big clubs who rely on a rich guy and his money.

It will all mean nothing if you don't make next seasons Champions League bud, that is a massive hole in the clubs balance sheet that would need filling, it would either mean changes at boardroom level or even at backroom level. Certainly Arsenal are in a very healthy postition if they maintain Champions League football but sometimes you need to invest to protect what your have already laid out and Wenger does not seem to keen to do that. Until that changes things will not improve much, they might hang on to a top 4 spot but they will not be genuine title contenders for years to come without a respectable level of investment.

According to the Budget report the 40k fans does not count on cl money hence the 70 mil profit last year. It looks like the money guy on the new stadium was very smart and got us a very good fixed long term loan. But we do need to stay there and to do that we need to invest. It does not look like Villa will be going any where so we need so established midfield talent to help us push on. I think that is the one thing where i get frustrated with Wenger is not buying the players i seem to think we desperately need, I though Arteta would have been a good signing but it does not look likely and im not sure arseshaving is the answer.

gotta love top class football these days, clubs actually don't win every game and it's get rid of the manager. Instead of making the players take a pay cut for playing shit themselves.

Three points, get in! We might not make top four this season, after all Arsenal have been here and done it before plenty of times and know how to handle the pressure, but they are going to have to perform. This Villa team will push them all the way.

A goal in the 89th minute means the same as a goal in the 1st minute.

Yes i know, but its still luck when its in the last minute :p

And liverpool have had their fair share of lucky last minutes as well and that is luck too :)
