Arsenal played well, and tbh who cares if they were kicking the ball as far up the pitch as they could. It got them the win, Arsenal were not as silky as usual but they got the job done.

Its a shame they cant turn up against the smaller clubs because it wouldnt just be a two horse race then.

I think with Man U effectivly playing a 5 man midfield we did not have much hope of passing through them regularly.

You are talking bollocks, Chelsea won 2 titles back to back with that squad and they did it beating Arsenal on a number of occasions. The fact is that Arsenal got no where near them in the last 2 years and I honestly think they will be behind Chelsea again this season regardless. Until Arsenal can learn to cope with the more physical sides in the premier league they will continue to be also-rans because they have dropped far too many points this season against lesser sides. Arsenal have a very talented first 11 but they are missing what it takes to be champions right now and that is toughness, if they can change that they will be formidible and really worthy challengers for the league title.

Hell why don't we throw in Essien as well as we've been missing his presence in the midfield with the ever underperforming Ballack not pulling his weight.

Once we get our big players back, you'll see Chelsea start to shine. Fact is even without our top starting 11, Chelsea can still grind out a win. Can't remember what the state of your squad was, but you got served pretty badly by Bolton didn't you?

As Cho said until Arsenal learn to cope with the physical nature of the premiership and adapt their playstyle to it (don't let this detract from it though, i'll admit Arsenal do play some very attractive football & rightly sos), then you'll go to the Reebok and struggle to get a result, as well as similar teams who come at you like that.

After the away win at blackburn Cesc did say they have spent alot of time working of training for the tougher games and it worked against a physical side when we only had 10 men so Saturday vs Bolton will be a test if we have that part of the game sorted. But it looked good vs Blackburn.

Fabregas and Gilberto over Essien and Lampard. Are you for real???? Obviously its your opinion, but still. I cant quite see how. Essien is 10 times the holding player Gilberto is and Fabregas still has some way to go to be as good as Lampard. There is no doubt Fabregas has the potential, but at the moment hes not the Player Lampard is.

You cannot compare them in pairs, because Chelsea play with 3 up front. Best player on the park for Arsenal was Adebayor, he caused us the biggest problems.

Eboe and Clichy played ok, but come up against Kevin Davies and Boltons direct style of play and he looks average even on his day. I also recall Christian Nade leaving toure for dead a few weeks ago

I'd rather take Essien and lampard over Fabregas and Gilberto though,
Essien has been one of the outstanding players of the season for me so far and hes a match winner, and we all aware of what Lampard can do when hes on song, still one of the best players in the Premiership.. They generally contribute alot more to attack, but if you were gunna compare like for like, then Makelele > Gilberto as a defensive midfielder for me any day. Noone has played that role as well as he has in the span of the Premiership
