Okay, not many people here know that last year I had a "serious" medical condition, which put me in hospital a few times. Now, minus that, towards the end of my issue, they stuck me on Fluluxocillin (500mg) just to make sure I didn't get infected with anything (ironic, how I caught a huge cold after being ill for like 4 months) for about a month..

Now, pain has come back from where the injury has taken place, same symtoms (pain/uncomfortableness etc) have come back and I know these magical pills solved it last time..

Anyone know if:

1) I can get overcounter anti-biotics (as I don't want to be filled with tubes again)
2) How much do they cost(ish)

Cheers... =(

UK by the way.. *Doesn't want to go to A&E again*

OD. Doctor. Now.

Those miracle pills might not work this time.
It might be worse, just dorment.
It might be a completely different thing and those pills might kill you for all we know.

Nah, is going exactly the same way it did last time. Ended up going to A&E on my own at 3am last time, fucking awesome having to wait near an hour while I'm sitting in pain :) I'll go again, the pain isn't as "regular" as it was last time. I'm waiting for Monday before I go. Unless it fucks me up, and I go tomorrow/sunday.

Ah that's shite.

Cheers though, I'll see what happens. Hopefully it won't take 3 months to solve this time, NHS were slow with me :(

It depends entirely what serious medical condition you had.
Antibiotics work against bacterial infections, not viral ones (hence the fluclox doing bugger all for a cold).
I don't think the combined 'wisdom' of FH is the source you should seek for medical advice.
Speak to your doctor.

Overdriven, why not make an appointment at your doctors/A&E, if you think it's not that bad yet and don't mind waiting a few days?

My jobs a dispenser and i can tell you now the only antibiotics you will get is with a prescription, sorry!! I dont know why there keeping you on antibiotics because you eventualley come immune to them and they dont have the same effect. Go back to your doctors and they could prescribe something more useful, rather than keeping you on antibiotics. What exactly do you need help with?

Oh for pain! If its really painful and you can be trusted to take them they could put you on a CD drug(Controlled drugs) such as morphine (MST continus) on OXY contin although i just think thats mainly for cancer!

Even something like CO-Dydramol could help. Anyway just ask your doctor, theres like a 1000 different things available :)

GP appointment more than likely on monday or tuesday.
Mr. Jason has found his last remaining pain killers and is quite happily pain free :D

Is there anything you can do other than popping pills to ease the pain?

Nah, cause they'll most probably OP this time. They screwed up last time by not giving me any proper info about surgery, I got no info on dates/times and nothing happened. It eventually healed so I didn't bother following it up (Dumb mistake) this time I would.

HOPE to have my GP appoint next week, will explain what's been happening (again), and will make sure everything goes to plan. Will most probably get my mum involved now, as she works in Admin at the NHS now.
