hope it sets well. mine didn't (broke at 17) and you can tell. I can't perform some gym exercises because my arm just won't work that way any more.

I have to drive a couple of hundred miles tomorrow. In my boot I have a sack of rock salt, a shovel, snow chains, snow socks and anything else I could lay my hands on. I even have some 'hotties' hand warmers. I haven't even packed yet. Probably no room for my bags. Can FH collectively hope for me that it doesn't snow.

Not that anybody cares but I fought my way through the non existent snow from the south coast to Scunthorpe via Doncaster! Last night the A27 was closed with people abandoning cars. There must have been oooooo 2cm of snow! ANyway I'm holed up in a Premier Inn with gold plated Wifi And hardly any signal! It's soooooo slow. And if my spelling's crap that's because I've just demolished half a bottle of brandy cos I'm getting a cold and I have lost my voice.Waaaaaaaaaaa

Wouldn't it be more stupid to leave a massive warehouse fire burning? Fairly sure the firefighters weren't just spraying the road and not the building.

Did you really just ask such a stupid question?

The fire was out but its standard practice to keep dousing it down afterwards - standard practice that makes no sense in sub-zero temperatures - surely you know the fire triangle?

Yes I do. The cold is outside the building, the fire was inside. When a fire is put out the embers remain hot for a long time and could easily reignite if not dealt with.

They're always forecasting blizzards - and light snow happens.

I'm supposed to be going sledging in nottingham tonight - but there won't be enough fresh snow to make it feel like anything other than scraping my face down ice...

Where we walked the car today theres a bit of road where it generally floods in a large puddle - today it was a lake!

Dumb cyclist went through it and it was over the top of his wheels - he looked a tad shocked - not a very nice day for a swim...

Trouble is most places Britain invaded were very warm and dry places!

Stupid weather. Almost April, and at the moment its snowing / sleeting in London. This time last year we had clear blue skies, 70°F, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, and the trees were budding.

Oh well, at least you can leave the beers outside instead of clogging up the fridge.

Sun is shining, snow is melting, blue skies, two bunnies walked merrily down the sidewalk. Things are looking better around here...for now.
