If you actually read my previous posts as you say, youd notice I said that only extremists would bother to do that, the rational people wont go around ruining relations more than they currently are screwed, its ofcourse an idiotic thing to do, I was in support of the boycotting and not some lame propaganda protesting which will get us nowhere.

Just don't see what the muslims want more from Denmark, the govermant has said that we got freedom to speach here, and that they can't dictate what the press releases, and the newspaper (JP) has made an official appology.

Are they just useing this as a stupid excuse to go on a frenzy because they are so stupid and ignorant that violent is their last resort? And if this only covers the extreme muslims, why don't the the rest tell 'em to calm the fuck down before they ruin everything that they have been trying to build up for ages now.

Yeah, but what about the Muslim leaders and public figures that go out and argue blasphemy laws? The thing that stirs me is that I not only just see the mob running rampant, as could be excpected. But I see Egyptian authorities telling Denmark "to watch what's printed, in order to appease the angry muslims", I see public moderate muslims arguing for blasphemy laws. Funny how when certain Islam groups in Middle East want to kick up a bit of anti-Christian fervour they harp on about the Crusaders attacking Islam as if Islam was the native religion at the time and hadn't done a bit of the old rape and pillage in its spread across the region, nah all the people's in the area who were happily worshipping what every gods they had just went "Ah Islam, thats the one for me, where do I sign up".

May I remind you all, that a couple of years ago, cinemas in christian countries like Germany were burned down because they were showing a movie that contained a sexual relationship of Jesus and Maria Magdalena. ok the cartoons are offinsive to Muslims as it breaks a intergral part of thier religon.

But as for going about burning down buildings that belong to the danes well that's just a bit mental ( well imo).

Perhaps it's because the majority of Young christians today aren't that spiritual as they where say 30 years ago ( look at your parents and how they where brought up).

I do belive there is a god, God isn't the God of the Christian, Muslim , Jew or Buddha.

But i do belive in karma , Treat people how you would like to be treated. I.e with respect and kindness.

My biggest problem with religon is not the belief in a higher power , it's to do with orginised religon.
I have to go to a certian building on a certian day of the week in order to show that i do belive ( i'm using the Chatolic way as i was raised a Chatolic).

Sorry , I belive in my own way , I pray when i see fit.
If we where to get into the bible there are alot of contradictions. plus the bible is open to interpitation , much the same as the Karhan.

I try to treat all people the way i'd like to be treated if i was in thier situation.

1. As I understand it, depiction of the Prophet is not permitted under Islam.

2. Doing so deeply offends Muslims. Its against the Koran and Shariah law.

3. Publishing such cartoons would obviously incite anger from the Muslim community.

4. 5 minutes of reasearch on google would tell you that.

5. Ergo they published the cartoon and didn't care if they upset Muslim people. Thats out of order.

6. Re-publishing by the journalist networks was equally wrong.

7. The extremists holding placards demanding the death of anyone who offends them is incitement to murder and is against the law. The police need to take a public interest view on whether to prosecute or not.

8. There's no excuse to be racially intollerant. Most people are against extremists / terrorists. Its these people who need locking up. The vast majority of ppl (whatever religion) are peaceful.

the first crusades happened when the Byzantine Emperor Alexius I requested help from west because he had lost a large portion of his empire to the Seljuk Turks,who the Turks today are the descendats of, (the Seljuk were the ones that stopped the Mongols invading Europe) later on losing all of the Byzantine Empire (meaning all of Asia Minor was lost).
It was nothing to do with religion, religion was an excuse used to gather support in the West, and then later in the east.

my own opinion on god is i just dont care if there is or there isnt, i think its highly unlikely that there is, i went to a CoE primary school where we had it rammed down our throats every day (shush) and it kind of put me off the idea of living your life by the rules of some "supreme being"

I also saw the pictures of the cartoon and thought it was quite funny, i'm sure it was ment as a joke (which some people found funnier than others). They broke muslim law by publishing the picture, just like theres hundreds of international/religious laws broken every day, anyone here eat bacon or pork for example?
