always makes me wonder tho how each realm goes after certain keeps, like mid will 9/10 get berk and hibs will have eras mid will have bolg and alb will have crim etc always! its like when theres no irvr, each realm kind of knows what to do which in a way is good as without it aint worth loggin on.

And in emain, we pretty much agree, besides you took the best part of the 8v8 zone, moved and expanded it to a place where there will be enemies all the time.. It will very quickly evolve into something like 8v10, 8v16 or even 8vZerg, which kinda ruins the idea of a good fg fight

the distance from mid or alb keep to there is almost twice the distance from beno to middle of aggramon.

Its not about better, its about alternatives and not finding excuses to say irvr in alb is better. Its the mentallity of the "always has been in hadrians" that makes ppl think its better.
yes there are zerg zones but they arnt that big...why you ask? simple the zerg is a moving crowd of ppl that dont want to go to far from bbs and wont to further then the guy next to him so for instance the core of alb zerg in Emain is the bowl next to crim, the bridge area and underwater in respective areas. In fact you dont even see the alb zerg go to the other side ( mid side )

So what we've summed up..

IRvR in midgard is crap.
One realm simply can't get out of the small corridor by notts and the third realm is unable to get there. Even if groups do manage to escape the up-down zerg-fest there's no where else in the zone not full of aggro to fight in.

IRvR in hib and alb i've found to be much the same but with a few differences.

The maps provided by both were fairly accurate, but with a few problems.
1) Zerging. Albs tend to have the highest numbers, what this results in when IRvR is in hib is normally albs camping the bridge (albs normally owining crim). This means hibs get stuck by the doors of their portal keep hugging the guards. Hibs or Mids don't have the numbers to hold the bridge for long against the beno zerg so the zerging tends to be more backwards and forwards across the zone, instead of shootout from bridge to keep. The location of the towers in hib also means it's much harder for hibs to push albs back.
Why is this important.. well it means for the third realm there's no where to attack. They either zerg the keep (bad idea) or try to hit the albs in the back who are already entrenched on the bridge. I would draw it with pretty arrows but i'm lazy. In hadrians the 3rd realm can come in from the south turning it into a 3 way triangle, instead of a alb v hib fight, mids go get lost.

2) FG fights. On your hib map you've marked out some area's for fg fights in hib. The main problem with it is the area is domminated by a river and has a big zone wall in it. You've basically got the area around the graveyard, which contains a tower and is too easy to pull guards from. It's a huge advantage to the hib groups fighting there. The other area's tend to be corridors with no real roaming options.. 2 groups meeting will almost certainly be coming head on, or one group will be half in the water leading to bad fights. Hadrians contains much more open landscape with the possiblity of groups coming from different directions.

3) Soloers. No real difference, most probably go to the none IRvR realm anyway, although they will probably get banned for dueling these days if they try.

Cor's Map sums up my experience of the irvr rather well, but besides that i only take towers or keeps when im dead borred and nothing to kill .. my /title says enough when i look at it to back that up he heh

All i want is those lovely red enemies out there nicely stacked up and ready to be killed .. i dont care where or when but i do prefer it to be in albland if possible and not spending 20-30 mins running around looking for anything remotely interesting cuz then my brain overheats and i'll jump anything ... even a 1 legged chicken

i think it is best if the irvr zone switches at least once a week to a diff realm just for the sake of variation.

and by now, most people are sooo afraid of out of hour relic raids that they are not willing to allow irvr in their own realm.

like someone said earlier, people are gething lazy. they want to get fights presented on a plate. i remember OF where i was happy with 5k on an evening. now people quit after 30 mins if they haven`t earned 15k in those 30 mins.

and, yes, population is the biggest issue at this moment. bring on cluster with germany or france.

i can only hope that the BP patch will bring back 100 or so oldtimers to the english cluster...

No, people quit after 30 minutes when the action appears to consist of 2fg albs zerging 'round. Someone is certainly not happy with 5k/evening and is ready to make every player of the opposing realms log, just as long as he gets the RPs from zerging them down.

When you pretty much always have 4 fg of albs backing you up or are constantly adding on ongoing fights the landscape makes fuckall difference. Try for once running fg vs fg one evening in midland and you'll see what people are talking about.

Albs normally have nott when irvr is in mid.
Your an Alb.
Your playstyle in the past has mostly resulted in enjoying the zerging aspect. (This isn't an insult!!)
The zerging area between Mids and Albs is very good in irvr Midland.

Try establishing irvr in mid then playing as the 3rd realm that doesn't have notts.
Try getting good full group fights when the irvr is in mid.. When we tried we rarely managed to get past the bled tower south of notts without getting zerged by 3fg's.

For one of the playstyles irvr in mid is fine. For those people it matters not. For the others it simply sucks.

It's best in Hadrians. Moving it to Hib for a bit of variety sometimes doesn't hurt too much however, but don't claim that it makes no difference having only really engaged in one of the playstyles listed.

That's BS. All 3 realms have zerged at all hours of day. The only diference between albs, mids and hibs is that albs have numbers to face the other 2 realms at same time due to higher numbers.
