Been a few months now with the Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire HR, so I can give an honest appraisal. Full specs here, but here's a few snaps I took:
It's full replaced my Omega Seamaster as my 'daily driver' watch and so tracks things like heart rate, steps, flights of stairs and is available for bespoke training activities. It has a titanium surround and a scratchproof sapphire face (same as my Omega) with interchangeable straps (I currently have the standard rubber strap but also the brown leather which is classy for work). So far, it's been great - battery life is very good in watch mode (I charge it about once every 7-10 days) and lasts over a day with GPS tracking fully enabled (GPS locks on very quickly). The phone app is uncluttered and easy to use - the google (or Apple) maps overlay of my hillwalks is very useful with a navigation mode to allow you to track back your route if the weather closes in. The golf mode is particularly useful as it allows you to download a course to the watch and then use GPS to give your yards to the front, middle and back of the green - all on your wrist.
s a side, you also get phone notifications to your watch via bluetooth and a polite buzz to notify you - useful for checking texts discretely when you're in meetings at work and the phone is on silent.
Overall, a seriously good piece of kit that does it all for me.
