I have owned a 1.0l Fiesta, a 1.6l Focus and currently a 1.25l EcoBoost Fiesta which is a bit of fun.

For the companies I have worked for I have driven lost of Cars from the current Kia all the way up to a Fully Loaded BMW M5 which I got to take to Wales for a week. That was the only time I have gone over 110mph and it really did not feel like I was doing that speed. It was an animal. Favourite though was my old bosses Volvo a S80 it was the smoothest and most comfortable car I have ever driven. When they replaced him I nearly cried as they took it away and I got the Kia back haha.

My wife had a chinquecento, the fuel injectors couldn't keep up if you tried to drive it fast.

I got 100 out of her Micra, it was bracing.

I had an Opel Kadett in SA when I was a student (Sold to another student who crashed it!)
Then a Honda something (Also written off - not my fault)
Vauxhall Corsa (BMW driver smashed it through my garden wall while it was parked outside the house)

Vauxhall Astra - current car 7 years old - wondering if this will have same demise!

I've had crappy WiFi downstairs for ages. Goes back to having an ISDN plug in my office where "teh gamez" were played in the olden days. So my Sky router is upstairs in a corner of the house. So decided to test, results on my HTC M9 were as follows:
  • In the office: 7.63 down 1.26 up
  • Downstairs in living room: 2.55 down 1.06 up
  • Downstairs on 4G: 11.55 down 3.21 up
So my hunch was correct! Anyway 30 minutes later after some quick research and a trip to Argos up the road I've got this...

RE200(UK)-01.jpg

Very simple to hook up using WPS (30 seconds) and now that downstairs test reads: 6.32 down 0.82 up !!
I've planted it behind the TV so going to hook the TV up using the supplied cable. Should make all the "Smart" stuff much more usable.
Good times..

Oh ffs I feel like I'm a kind of poor man's English Big G. We both have Gibson SGs, but he is a much better guitarist than me, we're both into photography, but his photos are better than mine. Two weeks ago I bought a Mini Cooper S, it's on a 10 plate and isn't the Works version (fortunately at the age of almost 50 I don't have to give a fuck about image :) and it is a lot of fun to drive).

I even own a fucking Weber kettle barbeque :(

Company Credit Card and not essentially techy but totally awesome chair if you have back issues:

humanscale Freedom - High performance Task Seat, whatever the fuck that means. Was recommended in the Independent from a report during UK back week last Autumn.

https://www.humanscale.com/products/product.cfm?group=FreedomTaskChairWithHeadrest

http://www.humanscale.com/products/productVideo.cfm?group=FreedomTaskChairWithHeadrest

Also getting a new setup at work which is more tech related, replacement for my old CF-LX3 Laptop:
  • Dell Precision M3800 Laptop i7 4712 HQ, 16GB Ram, Quadro K1100M w 2GB GDDR5, SSD 512GB Full Card, 15.6" Ultrasharpe UHD Touch Display
  • 2 x P2414 Monitors
  • Docking Station
At the company this was basically the only high performance laptop available Should be decent enough what I do.

We've got one of those. Only problem is it was specced for my missus and she's 10 inches shorter than me and about half my weight

It is not mine so not sure it counts but I just ordered all of this gear to help build a machine for my cousin.

First machine I have built in a while and it should be a beast. He will be upgrading the Ram as he thinks he needs 64GB when he can get a quad channel kit he likes. Will also be getting a second monitor when he moves and wall mounting one above the other. Power supply will also allow a second Titan which I think he will order before we have finished the build. It should look very clean and hopefully be fairly silent. He has ordered a new desk which has a power strip and cable routing built in. And a GT Omega chair. I asked if he won the lottery and he just smirked, new flat, £4k - £5k on a PC and Desk ect and he is leasing an Avicci Volvo whatever that means.

People who don't know what they want and have too much money buy Titan Xs. They see the price tag and think it's the best but a 980 Ti (or a pair of them or Fury Xs) is a much wiser investment.

He'd be better off on an X99 CPU as well, an i7-5820k (or 5930k/5960x depending on how rich he is feeling). Better CPUs, no onboard graphics won't be a concern.

It is not the system I would build but it is his Money. I tried to get him away from the Processor and the Graphics card but he wants what he wants. What is really stupid is he would be fine with a i5 and a 950 as the only game he plays for more than 10 minutes is Rome Total War. But I get to play with a Titan so go me :)

Do you also have 2 slightly less sexy sisters than @Big G as well @Rubber Bullets?

Hmmmm maybe it's ok for me to get a speedy Mini if old man RB has one, I could get one for the wife and use it when I want and sell my old Lexus IS200 (by far the best car I've ever owned for reliability, bought it out of desperation for transport and it was the best thing I've done in years) to save on fuel. Maybe speedy Mini's aren't better on fuel though. It's just the cunt driver image that bothers me (not the gayness the arrogance image).

I do have 2 sisters, and although it is a bit tricky for me to say I think they were probably both fairly sexy in their day.

They're both in their 60's now though.

I have taken it upon myself to single handedly improve the cunt driver image that the speedy Mini has. It might take a while for this change to spread to Stoke though.

It's optimistic to think it would have any affect on Stoke anyway.
It's true, the majority of Stoke people have delusions of grandeur and owning a Mini obviously makes them think they are far more important than anyone else on the road.

Edit - I have a dash cam in my car, next Mini incident I will post the video.
