Can people not just work harder and get a car instead? :)
I would agree but it was me getting an idea so cunning i put a tail on it and called it a fox. Get a MTB porn thread and we move the MTB talk to a different realm from everyday jo schmo. Lol

Bought this the other day. Plex installed, yadda-yadda. Also got HBO GO and most digital channels in one nice pack, for 14 quid a month (includes phone line). They threw in the CI+ card for free.

Blessed it with S502 Game of Thrones 1080p, awesome sauce.

Just a precaution but get the warranty extended. My F8000 broke a week before Christmas at 54 weeks old. Luckily it has a 5 year warranty with Currys but dealing with them was another ball ache entirely.

Posting from a 5k monitor.

I really appreciate the colour accuracy on FH, makes it so much better. :D

I ordered a Pentax K to Fuji X converter from ebay for £15. Very well made, solid metal and now I can mount my fabulous Pentax primes onto my tiny compacy Fuji body.

The results are utterly fantastic, creamy bokeh wide open and super sharp when stopped down for landscapes.

So this adapter is fabulous, I've missed my old 70s manual focus lenses. We've had some weird weather today, warm when the sun is out but brutal hail and snow showers thrown in.

Took a couple of shots with the Pentax lens, sharp details right to the edges and corners of the frame - no softness, no aberrations and minimal distortion.

They are great shots G, do you get focus peaking to assist with manual focus with those lenses?

I've got an X100s as a back up to my DSLR and really like it.

Bought a pair of these recently
l_10071676.jpg

I paid about £70 in the sale at PCWorld.

Pretty good for gaming (mostly Elite Dangerous), you get some sense of stuff being behind you. If I hear laser fire I can usually see where it's coming from pretty quickly. The mic level is low, I've tuned it up in windows to full but it's still pretty quiet but perfectly usable.
Comfortable and adjustable and the wireless lets me wander into next room without losing signal. Battery lasts about 5/6 hours with a full charge.
For listening to music they are fine for me, but I'm no audiophile. The build quality feels good and I like the roller type volume control. The mic part is flexible and fold away. I hate wires.

I bought a quality M2 WiFi card to replace the shite one in my Lenovo Yoga Pro 2. I was tired of having to reconnect to my wlan every couple of hours and the connection speed always being piss poor.

I opened the laptop up, replaced the card with no issues, closed up and booted up.

Bam! 300 Mbits, full bars in all rooms. 15 Mb/s on the network rather than 3. I'm a happy bunny :D

Ooh, was it easy? Which one did you go for? Though I must admit I haven't had any wifi issues like you.

They are dead easy to take apart @Deebs you just need a little torx screwdriver and the back just pops off and everything is right there.

what Trem said, although a regular T5 torx won't do it: my Pro 2 has "protected" torx screws in it, meaning you need a torx screwdriver that doesn't have a flat base to undo them. The "protection" means there is a little nub in the screw's socket that doesn't allow a regular torx screwdriver to fully seat.

The bottom casing of the Pro 2, after the screws are removed, is held to the chassis with small plastic clips. I removed mine by just gently sliding a screwdriver blade around the casing. like Trem says, it just pops right off. the M2 card can be removed/replaced just like any other M2, no issues. Because it is a wifi card, you have to gently remove the primary and backup antenna cables first. just pop them back on once you're done replacing the card and job's a good'un.

Thanks appreciate the replies, @TdC what was the exact card you bought? I did ask this question but you chose to ignore me, fucker.

Yeah, once you're done replacing the card you can just press the bottom cover in to place and the clips will snap in. After that you can retorx it up and all is well again!

I got an 867Mbps 802.11ac, 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, Intel 7260NGW M.2 NGFF Card, Intel branded. It should be about 20 Squids.
