I said you can't lotto for Bane because you were slash (RaidLeaders said so and you were wearing a slasher at the start), simple as that, now try and hope it drops nexttime and bring a truster along...

Im sorry but that was very wrong to just say i caused all this hassel Yussef, are you saying Naveh can freely reject me from lotto'ing , and dont even CARE to investigate it further even maybe ask to show me a style , and i did get a thrust weap in the end ... but this this was shown to make the problem "darker"...
and you know very well scouts have low weap styles anyway they would just all miss so i only use my bow to hit them and shield to protect audrey our cleric (which i did many times )

I am not going to make a post with lost of quotes but let me make this quite clear. The original poster WAS entitled to roll for that item, no where in the rules does it say you can only roll for the type of weapon you currently have equipped. Anything else is just static, white noise, bullshit and pointless. I personally I seen a number people roll for both slashers and thrusters on TLW hunts, you can't change the rules as you go along in a different way of interpret them differently because a guildmate wants the item, no matter how much he deserves the item. The system collapses otherwise and it is a blackmark against an otherwise superb reputation of TLW's Sidi hunt.

it's the same as a armsman rolling for a slash polearm and loses and then wants to roll for a thrust polearm

Sure there is a rule about only rolling for items you can use BUT people often role for alts, I have seen it happen and I don't have a reason to lie about it. At the end of the day it boils down to this, the guy didn't have a thruster to equip because he had just respecced before the hunt. Now, yes that does require a level of trust and maybe I am too trusting of people but if we go by 'The Rules' there is nothing that says he had to have a thrust weapon equipped at that moment to roll for a thrust weapon.

As a side note I never liked Acuda (from early retail) and I have always thought Naveh (old and new) were nice people, I am just giving me 2cents on how I think the rules should be fairly applied so don't take it personally.

IIRC:

You can roll for an alt but you have to say it to the raid leader BEFORE the raid starts, and you can't roll for your "main" (whatever it is you're coming with on the raid) anymore then.

That's correct. You are not allowed to roll for more than one character for a raid, so there's no reason you've ever be able to roll for both a slash and thrust weapon (unless you have a very odd spec).
