Is that it then? Have you stopped bickering about a pointless and frankly, boring subject?

No, one who says "hey shut up, if you don't like it go elsewhere". Which completely and utterly misses the point.

You obviously still *are* missing it.

You've missed my point completely.

Can't you just argue this out on irc or something?
I've created #boring for you

You must be on an entirely different plane of consciousness to us mere mortals to be missing the point so much.

LOL, this is comical, seriously how can you not see what we're getting at?

Is that.. do I detect a sense of humour emerging? Good god!

And I did see what you were getting at, but seeing as you were making a point about the point that I was making, I was probably in the best position to let you know if you were missing the point or not.

We fully understand that the rules are totally up to the mods, and they can chop and change them as they like, and if we don't like it we can go elsewhere. We were not complaining about the state of the rules, we were asking what the state of the rules were. Not with regards to abuse, but with regards to swearing, which at the time was unclear. This is not an unreasonable request. So when you come back with "if you don't like it, lump it" it's totally irrelevant, because we weren't saying we didn't like it, we were asking what were the rules so we could avoid being banned.

Do you honestly not see what we're saying xane?

You understand "the rules" can change as and when the management feel like it, and with that you have no complaint. Yet you want to know "the state of the rules" today, yet this is completely pointless as they can be changed instantly afterwards.
An example:
Ted: okay people, the word "fudge" is allowed, I wont ban you.
Nath: hoorah ! Fudge Fudge Fudge Fudge Fudge Fudge !
Ted: I'm gonna ban you Nath.
Nath: but you said ...
Ted: well, it's all changed now, sorry, bye.
As I said, the bottom line is "the owner does whatever he likes", a statement basically made by Ted himself, which is what I said and which prompted your little pretentious *sigh* comment.

Wanting to know "the state of the rules" does nothing but create a stick to beat management with later, I doubt they will be that stupid.
I see your point, but your point is invalid.
