Hey everyone I stopped playing about.... oh i dunno 2 years ago or something? I made a trial acc about a year ago just to see if anyone was still about and the numbers were dwindeling pretty badly.

what's the situation like now? Is it basically on the brink of being shut down?

It really was the best game I ever played but with school/college/uni demanding more and more hours I no longer had enough time to commit myself to the demands of a mmorpg. It's a shame really met loads of cool people and had a reet good time.

Hi to anyone who remembers me!

Hey m8,

think it's around 150 ppl only now that remain on Dyvet server in prime time.

We refuse to abandon ship and to follow the others like lemmings. It's the abanding of players that made the sitiuation as it is now. Started around the TT story with the strike from hibs and since then the numbers keep dropping, but last few months very fast.

We try to make the best of it and we try to have sttill some fun, even though we miss lots of our friends who moved to Avalon or US servers.

I didnt abandon the server, I simply read what the GM's wrote and decided that I didnt want to pay a company that lies to me :)

Im sure Dyvet is still fun, and i dont like being a doomsayer so im just gona say - if you still have friends that are there it can be fun, but if your looking for mass RvR look elsewhere :)

Lemmings huh? Well, most that left are due to the incompitence of GOA at running a server. Would you go back to a doctor who had gross neglegence and killed loads of people? Or maybe a resturant who continuously gave you bad food poisoning? Guess not.

Indeed, lemmings. One person/group goes and others follow.

GOA made indeed mistakes, left us without any news or gave us hope by telling things which might can happen, .... But the dropout really started to get into acceleration when the hibs started to strike in rvr. GOA made their statement that it was not against CoC, but against the spirit of the game. Many players didn't like this answer so started to abandon server and this kept continueing.

Some ppl were bored/fed of the game, and started to use all kinds of situations to justify the reason why they left (rvr, GoA, ....).

I wonder if the negative whines were not posted on boards, if the decline of pop would be that fast. Prob not, as lesser ppl would have been manipulated/brainwashed then.

Ppl make the choices to leave the ship and to follow friends or just been manipulated on their views of the game by reading all these whines on FH and other boards.

It's scientific prooven that if you keep repeating for an certain time something, that your brains will take this for true. Ppl who think that they are sick will get the symptoms, Hypnosia (or how is that spelled) is also based on this. So what I wanna say, the more ppl claim that GOA was in error, the more ppl will pick this up and start to believe it. I have seen only a few post where ppl state that the fault is at the playerbase.

Players make the game what it is, not GOA who rents us the chars and server.

Ppl could have fighted harder for the game they love, but the as we all know: the grass is always green on the other side and ppl are easily influenced.

I'm not crying, just fed up of the shit I read every day here and to see posts of ppl who doesn't play on Dyvet server, but still try to dictate here what playstyles are best for all or when to play. The grass is green on the other side. yeah, we know this already by zillions of posts.

I actually still enjoy the Dyvet server as still many other do. So let us enjoying it; We pay also for our game, so we decide how and where we play.

Also a reason why I never bothered to read or write much on these forums. Everything you say will be bombed direct to the gutter by ppl who no longer plays here and always the same posts over and over. Reading all these posts as newbie in game will make you leave from day 1. And that already since FH was created tbh.

You ppl decided to move on from Dyvet to other server, create a forem there so you guys can still keep in touch, but let us enjoy Dyvet while it still lasts. Keep this open for active Dyvet players.

Some of the ppl who are still there are tbh enjoying rvr more now.

Now that most of the leet ppl are gone, the lower RR ppl can get easier groups or win some fights. RVR is still active, even with lesser ppl online.

I wanna thank the mids, hibs and albs for not giving up and for the fun fights so far.

And Gahn, it's not because I'm an Alb, that you have to act like that. So stop flaming.

Remember it were only a small minority of Albs that did the AC raids, even though the majority was against them. We could not control them and they didn't give a thing what hibs or mids said. The harder you ppl complained, the harder they started to grief. Maybe you have learned a lesson out of this? next time, try to get it an other way sorted and maybe they will listen.
All realms AC'd and that we already agreed, the timings of the realms who did them was different.

Flaming is never an good way to make an point and that's what the majority of posts were about.

It's a shame indeed that an small minority of ppl (in all realms) could ruin the server. Thought the majority would have been smarter and more intelligent to fall not in the trap of the minority. And we know what the trap brought us.

But please, again, let the ppl who are still enjoying the Dyvet server, enjoy their server and we all know already what you guys (who left) think of this server or who to blame. So no need to keep repeating this. It's gets to bored. Either it the population to blame or GOA, the server is in very bad state and this since long time. All we can do is try to still have some fun while it lasts or to strenghten it back up.

For me it wasnt the AC'ing that made me move from the server, it's couse they havn't done anything to help increase the pop and it has been like this for over a year now. So imo they have had long time to sort something out but have they now?
Anyway i have alot of fun at US but i miss my chars on Prydwen but as it is now i wont return.
Glad that the peps left enjoy it.

Simple think is xeros people wont play on a shit server where they don't enjoy the game anymore.

Many times mids/hibs had said to a certain minority of albs can you stop ac'ing keeps/relics in the middle of the night but they still carried on. Even if mids/hibs did things prime time they used the excuse hibgard to ac everything back again.

And pure and simple people don't want to play a game where peoples hard work gets undone by a small minority of pricks that play the game. There has been many incidents that affected the game. Look at WoW, classic server wiped out the dyvet population for abit which it never recovered back to. The fotm rush to classic server drained hundreds of players that never came back as it wasn't the same after they had left. The TT incident didn't help either as GoA are dicks as usual, and the continual Ac'ing/pve'ing keeps during the night by some certain albs.

If you don't enjoy the enviroment your in then why stay? The albs that are left are now moaning that there's no action as they have had their fun but now everyones left, meaning they can't continually do what they used to do. Simple as. Get used to it.:D

You said in your previous post that most albs were against and all i've got to say is MY ASS.
If you didn't accept what they were doing then why claim a relic keep and put it to 10? And it wasn't just the minority of guilds that did they ac'ing that claimed everything, all of you did except for TT who tried to make a stand for the server and could see even from their side that what the albs were doing was having negative affect on the server.

So tbh it's your problem deal with it, people have moved on to either limors or US. Enjoy the dead server now you have it. :D

Wanna dig the forums and see how many posts were made to try to make em understand that they were digging their own hole?
Of course u also could have done your best part to avoid the minority dictating rules cause of different times played, release keeps, refuse to rvr, stand up against the TT incident.
Not entirely sure but probably it was easier to just farm at the keeps during the noon i guess.
And don't delude yourselves compairing 3 ac raids from Mids and 2 from Hibs in 2 years against one every other night from the usual idiots.

Flaming is never an good way to make an point and that's what the majority of posts were about.

Who said it's because "you are an Alb"? The simple fact is that there were solid reasons why many people left the server, and still u struggle to get em since u think that we were "lemmings".
The sooner u and the leftovers get that, for an healthy game, an interealm community is needed, the best will be for the game or any other game u'llever play in the future.
Anyway free to have fun with 150 peeps in primetime and the usual shit going on Dyvet, if that's your soup ^^

I played a goodbye round of RvR on Saturday evening, on the Dyvett cluster, or whatever the fk they are calling it. Life is too short to spend so much time playing a game, of which the admin and management do not appear to care, not just what is happening with the European servers but with DAOC in general. I am talking about lack of advertising to bring new blood into an ailing game.

In my mind it is kind of like visiting your favorite restaurant - even if it is Makky Ds - but the freaking clown pukes on your dinner. If you people want to invite the clown around to puke where you eat over and over and over, this is up to you, but I have had it.

I had three accounts, they are all now closed, so add up the revenue loss and bye bye goa.

And this has nothing to do with mids, albs or hibs. You morons should grow up and stop flamming and loosing the plot of the thread.

why pay for 2 accs and play with 150 ppl primetime, when you can pay for one (which is cheaper as well) and play with 2k ppl prime time (US classic).

leveling is very fast now and RR is not an issue.

QFT, classic severs made daoc fun and fresh again, well, least for 6 months. Then I got bored with the game (again)

But those that still enjoy the game can play for years on us classic, new opponents, new chalenges and shit more people

I left Dyvet not because of GoA.

I left because there was no action.

I got fed up with standing around or roaming for 2 hours and not finding anything to fight.

The lack of action was a direct result of GoA's policy.

think most people like ME! left as Goa treated us like shit and lied to us ? best sentence to describe Goa is " lies lies, all lies". :)

also goa said they were looking into Dyvet issue, and wouldnt let it die, thats like 3 months ago, wtf are they doing now ? wanking their friends or something :O?

goa should get a Clue and take care of their customers, instead of acting like some immature Kids " omg, we got money for years, now the numbers are going down, lets make the server die so we can save the Server expenses"..

/Sigh

I must say that atm. on the Pryd/excal cluster even though that only about 1fg of each realm is on in the evenings I have a ton of fun in RVR, keeps and towers keep changing hands as all are unclaimed more or less, and I have not enjoyed the RVR part this much for long.

So to all the hibs and mids still hanging in there with the few albs left, THX. for some good RVR fun, really hope that u have fun as well.
