And since from what I've read a number of previous attempts to publish articles about him had been blocked or gutted it's understandable that no one wants to be that first person to speak out especially in a career where public image is all.

A small derailment to highlight some problems celebrities can face.

The remark is stupid and a professional should behave better, but it cost Newton a million dollar.
Newton earns about $35 million per year, $11 million from endorsements. One of them being a yogurt producer who markets their products specifically towards women. He lost his yogurt endorsement from that remark, and that's estimated at a million dollars per year.

On an individual basis it is. There is a trend of coloured people not achieving as much as white people on average. So you can say that on balance racism holds people back.

You cant show an individual and say that one thing stopped them achieving their potential. Theres nothing to show what would have happened had the thing not occurred.

Get a million actresses and compare those who slept with him and those who didnt then you can start making that sort of comparison.
