Well done Erodafira!!! :) :) :) I remember hunting with you once or twice playing my paladin Temperant (must be almost a year ago now) and it was a pleasure!

Melachi... do you really feel okay?

Because with that view you have on things, you could rationalize that nothing is worth congratulating anyone for, and cheerful comments to a stranger, or even a smile, is something bad and unnecessary. Is this really what you think?

Do you not contratulate someone when they reach LGM crafter skill? After all it was just time spent? Or your dad when he turns 50? After all, living takes no skill, just a lot of time? Would you congratulate someone variously much on their birthday depending on if they are poor or rich? Maybe you would congratulate someone on their birthday more if they lived in a third world country? Had a hard life or an easy life? Why congratulate someone who gets married.. after all it was just time spent looking for someone? Or maybe time spent studying how to pick up the opposite gender? Pfft, no skill - anyone can do that! Your friend had a son the other day? Hah! Given the right amount of time in the bed with your loved one, anyone could... and it's not even boring!!! If your favourite football team wins the league, don't you cheer them? Feh! Anyone in the right company of players can win the prize! And i bet they had better shoes too! Oh and the referee was clearly favouring them!

Listen... if someone achieves something that makes them happy, is that not worth congratulating them for? Especially if they didn't even beat their own drum about it? Wether something was hard or easy is irrelevant, as long as they person who did was was happy about it, no? Your daughter just drew you her first picture with crayons and it looks like crap but she's very proud of it and gives it to you with a hug. Do you tell her to sod off and come back when she's done something better?

I'm not going to go into details about why or why not someone should be congratulated for achieving one of the main goals in the game that we play here. But if you follow my reasoning so far, if you can't say 'well done' to someone just because you think 'anyone could do it given enough time and circumstances' - then you really must have a rather dull life with few verbal niceties being exchanged between you and your friends/family.

Think about it. If you can make someone happy, and it doesn't cost you more than a second to say something nice, why not do it? I'm sure you mean well in your trying to educate us on your thinkings, Melachi, but in this case perhaps you might just be a tad off the mark? You ask everyone to prove you wrong. I'll just ask you to start thinking with the generous and happy part of your brain, instead of the Uncle Scroogey part. :fluffle:

Sorry said i wouldnt reply anymore but after saying this post I have to. Very nicely put Ehlias, and you too right. I correct myself, and agree that this is worth congradulations if its a personal achievment, but I still do not agree, that it was a dificult one like some will say :)

Its more that in general, if u avoid emain your much less likely to have groups adding mid fight or stealthers popping up on you every fight (only takes a couple of archers to shoot wizards at a bad time, and whole group dies very quick).
Guess you could see that as a challenge and tbh taking on more numbers than yourself is alot of fun and probably for me the best part of the game when we succeed.

However, we generally prefer to have even fights atm so we can see how we can improve and see where we go wrong.

LOL!

Sorry, just the start..

Think 50% of mids Groups don't have savages, only EL and those have them mostly.

I very rarely see them, but maybe thats because I'm a caster ALSO avoiding emain (unless GG) when seeking group RvR? ;)

And a question to Ehlias, is your guild by any chance the Knights Templar from UO? Probably not but worth asking, hehe

I'll jump on the gratz bandwagon. Well deserved for the following reasons: -
giving ice wizards a chance at open field RvR (don't remember PBAE grps happening very often in the past)
taking the time out to organise grps (hard at best of times)
enduring the days of low RR as a caster. I played with your grp as my cleric once in Odins and it seemed that when up against the optimised grps the grp was very dependant on active RAs.
and lastly, in answer to some of the no-effort remarks in previous posts - presumably you were the main assist in most of these grps (pbae is no good if noone runs into it after all, so have to fill the rest of the time nuking). It's amazing how many dmg dealers in alb (tank or caster) don't want to be picking targets and are more than happy to /assist.

Also previously said, wouldn't be surprised for this char to get to rr10, gl on the way there.

Thought I'd log in to grats you - very well done Erodafira!

It was always fun to be in your groups when I still played, and to be honest, if I did return it would probably be 90% due to my wanting to join the fun with you :)

Well done!

You play your char in the easiest situtaion possible. df and keeps are rps heaven for pbae casters, either random's forming outside a gate or lord room where your pretty much invunearble or in DF where over 50% are sub 50 and in epic armour(if there lucky). There is no skill, rps = group * time. And you are a perfect example, you play in an organised group farming randoms and sub 50's all the time, which is why your rr8, I can't beleive I congraulated you, i retract it. If i had half as much time to play this game and the patients to organise a group, i would also be realm rank 8, but I dont, and i dont care. That is why people are being so cruel, because it was easy for you. And no, i won't QQ more or I didnt get pwned, im just laughing tbh haha.

[Edit] And you zerg lol, though you do it the daoc ettiqute(spelling? :p) which is organising 'raids', being a pbae caster in a zerg = lol, everyone else gets 15rps because i did all the damage and couldnt be F8'ed.

Malachi-..............fuck off?

Hi there Dumle. :) And as far as i know, no it's not. It was formed on alb/pry on the 6th of March 2001, and i've never heard any references to UO.

To Melachi: Glad you could see my point. :) I hadn't slept for 25 hours when i wrote that post, hehe.
