Lock Stock - Great film
Shallow Grave - Shite film
Trainspotting - Great film
Snatch - Disappointing
Get Carter - Shite(apart from THE line)
Long Good Friday - Awful
Withnail & I - Absolute fucking classic, one of my favs.
Sweeney - Erm!
Mona Lisa - Cack
Four weddings - Never seen.

I'm sure you will regret these choices tomorrow Lester, stay off the JD will ya, and I can't believe theres no Carry On films in there

Lock stock is shit and overrated. Guy Richie is also a cunt.

I agree with Lock Stock being overrated, it was a very poor film with extremely bad acting.

What about all the classic comedies from years back, those with Peter Sellers like "I'm all right Jack", etc ? As for more modern films you missed out "Secrets and Lies", a classic Leigh film, but I'd have to admit Leigh is something you either hate intensly or love it.

I seem to recall a film from many years back called "Restless Natves", great film, recommended.

Fresh Euro Flesh #8 - not strictly British, but the best scene features 3 British girls.

I can't believe anyone can consider Lock Stock to be a "great" film, let alone a film we should be proud of to show off our film industry. It is genuinely one of the worst films I have seen in a long long time. Yes, in places it can be mildly entertaining and some points are worth a small chuckle: but as a FILM, it is dire.

Lock Stock was OK, but as a FILM it was very good, unusual editing, reasonable acting, good plot twists - my biggest gripe with it was that i coudlnt give a toss about most of the characters.

Snatch was great, very entertaining film.

More recently ... Dog Soldiers and The Hole

then you got

Italian Job
Zulu

which were left out, cant think of any other really great films right now though.

The problem with Lock Stock was that a lot of people didn't get it.

It was a damn good film and Snatch was better...both could have done without Vinnie Jones however, as he's a shite actor.

I dono I quite liked his characters in both and he played them adequately enough - though that was mainly helped by his scriptwriters.

Agreed, his character was very good I just wouldnt have cast Vinnie Jones for it

And Despite Brad Pitts Hollywood icon status he played his part brilliantly.
