I think someone may be having problems with their sorters! I logged on earlier and got an anti-lag message regarding cleaning up ground items...I think it got rid of 800 odd.

Mine now incinerates junk while I am offline so it wasn't my system.

But everyone shoudl create a chest in their house following these instructions...

This is simple. You just have to create a Sign above a Chest or a DoubleChest with the Letters: "deathchest" (not case sensitive) in any line of a Chest. After placing this sign, the DeathChest will be created and the first line will be filled with your name, the third line will be filled with the worldname the chest is in.

Getting more stuff than I know what to do with now! I think 5 quarries is a tad excessive.

Going to start my nuclear reactor over the weekend, I may need some advice though as the thing scares the crap out of me after testing it in single player...quite the crater!

My reactor has been firmly sitting in my inventory since week 1 of starting too

Look into forcefields, those are a requirement for nukepower on the server.

Requires a permission manager, which i've been avoiding setting up due to massive amounts of config required. If i have a couple of hours free this weekend i'll set it up. At the moment tho i just dont have the time

Really, really like what you can do with chopping blocks up. Toyed with it a bit when I built my marble building (that serves no particular purpose) but gone to town on my little house. You can come out with some excellent detailing.

Using the John Smith texture pack and it really does add a lot to the game.

Examples of the texture pack - The only texture that seems to feel out of place is marble, which seems to be the standard texture.

It doesn't seem to support Tekkit properly so a lot of the blocks used in tekkit just show up as vanilla, marble being one of them. I will have a look tomorrow for a proper tekkit texture pack.

Do redstone wiring pulses cause lag?

I'm in the making of a rather large factory system and the pulses will go from earth to the core

Just curious if there's an alternative, or if insulated red wire will cause less etc.

It's all hooked to one timer.

Wireless transmitter/receivers.

I have timers setup for 5 15 30 and 60 seconds, each plugged into a transmitter. I then put the right freq intoa reciever anywhere, presto

I'm not sure. As a general rule of thumb all long cables are laggy more or less.

If I was to dig down (with a quarry) under my base, would the anchor keep everything there. Reason being I need a fuck ton of room for a project but can't really be arsed to build another building so I am thinking, down is the answer.

Started playing with the phased pipes the other day too. excellent stuff! Need to get a load made so I can make changes to my sorters.

Oh, oh. How are people getting decent amounts of lava? I stuck a pump on top of a lava spout and it ran out within about half an hour. Is it worth doing one to the nether or would I need to keep changing it? Would there need to be an anchor in the nether?

Solar power is getting on my nerves quite a lot now, if it isn't raining it's dark! Maybe I should just get on with it and build a reactor!

May have been mine! I put a portal there but couldn't remember how to set a name for it. I haven't got around to removing it yet.

Though I had pig men in my house the other day which was rather amusing. I didn't realise mobs could travel though the portals.
