Is that power armour? I am yet to find an emerald to make the bench, despite digging out around 10 64x64 quarries to bedrock.

Yeap, just finished the full set with necessary mods, full power and shield.

Charging it takes a buttload of energy though.

I've got emeralds if you want any, i can drop one off at the house. Unless you want the joy of finding

I just had a google. The reason I didn't find one is because they only spawn in mountains. My base and mines are in jungle/ocean. Will go hunting for them this afternoon

I might take you up on that offer Toht had a good explore and found no mountain biomes, I don't want to expand the map too much more!

There is a big area near peoples homes but I don't want to slap a 64 by 64 quarry down in case I wreck someones stuff

Done the outer walls of my obsidian fortress. Got to do the inner building now...which may end up being a combination of marble and obsidian as I only have one double chest of the black stuff left. I might just set another bunch of quarries going in the morning though and wait for it to stock up again.

Poag your lava ran out hehe. Trying to set up my own but I can get it to work from the nether with a dimensional anchor. Do I need something different ?

By the way i found a big oil supply in the jungle, near raven and poag so if you guys want the co-ordinates. Otherwise i'm piping it out

Feel free. I don't use oil for anything. I use solar for my quarries. There is an oil source in the water between me and you too Toht.

Not sure about the lava, there was one that I dug down in and took the lava with buckets then combined with lava capsules (or whatever they are called!) That was right next to my base though and was a few weeks ago...so wasn't me

Can you have wireless EU? I can't seem to figure it out. I would like to combine my small solar arrays into medium arrays and power my quarries off a single point.

not seen any wireless eu stuff around .. i am building solar panels like a nutter atm 8 lv ones at a time just lack of copper thats slowing me down .. trying to make enough that it will charge my mfe but still only being used by my mass fabs atm and not charging so they go really slow a tnight off wind power now that poag has run out of lava and i cant seem to get the lava stuff working from the nether.

Power really is a bit of a pain in this game hehe

Just set up a load of batboxes for low power storage.

I have a single mass fabricator plugged into my windfarm. Slow and steady but they come. Everything else runs off solar with a few generators plugged in which I can stick coal in if I am desperate. I also power up those red power crystals as and when I remember. Can dump them back into the power system as and when needed.

You should make a medium solar array to power the MFSE and then use transformers off that (Will need glass fibre cable) I have the one and planning on making a few more when I have done my fort, going to fit lighting and whatnot to it.

I've moved the lava extractors so you have lava flow again. Also i went out to your house and had a nose as your power setup. Its not really worth it putting the lava into tanks, they weren't passing it onto your geotherms anyway. So i took out the wooden pipe and put a cobble in its place. Theres a chest next to the tank with the bits i moved around. Your geos are working properly now

In the long run i'm going to make a mobile lava extraction platform out of some wireless turtles and send them off into the nether to pickup lava.


EU is indeed not wireless while MJ is. You can use a power tower tho. Which is Eu -> MJ -> Phased conductive pipe...and then the reverse at the far end.

Oh, I saw some turtles near my distant quarry. I thought it was a bug as they weren't doing anything and I had only just uncovered the biome. On the safe side I set my quarry away from them! It was the only unpopulated large mountainous biome I could find without uncovering even more map.

Are they any good for mining rare materials?

thanks will have a look at what i was doing wrong ... tho the lava was going into the geo's and filling them up i have probably over complicated a lot of things i seem to have wired and doubled wired somethings hehe

forget the copper wires thing .. i put a mv solar array in and i figured out it blew the copper ones hehe .. replaced with gold all working again
