Question. To get mobs to spawn I just need dark places right? So once my grinder is finished I just need to shut off all light sources?

Yeah, monsters will spawn when its dark =) So turn of lights, and just see em popping!

well its up, but you can't destroy boxes you place down atm it seems. They just keep reappearing.

I think I know the problem, trying to get a hold of Deebs to fix it. But havent seen him for a couple of days. Problem now, is that server is most likely dumping the ram, and when only 1gb is dedicated then it starts lagging alot when 5-6 players are on it.

I got a new command that recycles the ram, and a command and how to fix to dedicate more ram to the server.

But to do this I need Deebs =)

I died on one of the crashes and spawned somewhere I don't know, will all my stuff be gone?

No worries Nate. I will spawn the stuff you lost for you, not your fault that server is buggy atm. Just tested the commands on my computer, and it works. So I hope Deebs is back soon!

You used to be able to build a mob spawner, not sure you can at the moment though, although I think they are still available in dugeons if you should happen across one - I have only ever come across three or four of them.

Thanks to Deebs, the server is now up and running again. And should be more stable then ever

Nice, seems minecraft.net is down though lol Or the login server anyway. I can't get passed the patch notes screen.

Hmm, I got no problems connecting. So you should just hit retry everytime until you get online. Or try to rs your computer =)

I would have had it done earlier if it wasn't for a slight accident involving a mine cart/storage box full of building materials and an accidental right click with a bucket of lava! 2 hours mining literally up in smoke

I did the same yesterday, or not the same. but probably more stupid. Had 12 diamonds on me, 10 gold and almost 50 iron. When I was digging downwards not thinking that I could end up in a pool of lava! Wich I did

i can but only on the laptop which has the old client.

/edit, just copied old client to pc and works a treat.

Is there anywhere that you can download the old client? Was hoping to get on properly tonight

Don't see why you can't connect with the new clients when I can, hmmm. But I think there is a link to the old client on minecraft.net at the startside.

Has anyone got a map of the FH server btw? I need lots of sand for a little side project but don't want to start digging too close to peoples buildings, there is loads of sand near to where someone has built a beach house so I don't really want to start digging that up.

Yeah, dont digg up my beach house Anyway, if you go behind my big castle. There is shiiitloads of sand there you can take =)

Its ok now. had about an hour of lag/disconnects.

Someone flooded my base, didn't fix the flood, destroyed my tower of lava(which took a while to get working) and built a castle there.

This castle will be demolished for clear violations on my terrain

FYI; i'm not going to demolish the castle, but i will return the favor for destroying my lavatower. Mainly since you so like lava, you might find more of it in your castle.

The lava thing isn't exactly a huge feat of engineering and i fixed my base rather fast
